Oven would not start when closing door.
Removed some cosmetic panels. Removed the assembly with micro switches. Examined the faulty switch by checking the clicking action of switch. Two others were ok by this method. Replaced the switch with new one. Works fine so far. Thanks to web site and YouTube videos.

Both covers were destroyed when the oven was on without any food inside.
Both new parts were installed simply by snapping them into the holes used by the old covers. What I did need was the single round headed push pin used to hold each cover in place after they were snapped into their respective mounting holes but, none were supplied with the new covers. Luckily, I was able to secure the old pins from the damaged parts that I had held onto and used them to secure the new covers. New pins should have been supplied with the new covers.

Items were not getting heated up in the microwave,
I went to LG website enter model number and was given a list of parts that need to be replaced with a percentage of which part fails the most. I order micro switch PS3522738 which arrived and PS3529293 was backordered. I installed the one that arrived. The microwave worked briefly. I reordered and waited for both switches to arrive and installed both. The microwave still doesn't work.

The new part was too thick for the worn out plastic ring which is obsolete.
Needed to raise the part to match the ring. I used peanut butter to hold plastic shim while replacing to hold it in place. Built in Oct. 2009.

Microwave fan would come on when door open. Timer and unit would not switch on.
I looked up my problem on the internet and found a very helpful video. Microwave on video was different brand but the internals and methods were very much the same. The video made it simple and easy to fix. Found the replacement switch on the LG parts site and ordered. Two different switch types. One with red switch, the other green. Part was $7.28. Saved a bundle in service costs. Here is the repair video.

Glass on the microwave door had cracked and needed replacement.
I looked for the part on partselect website. The picture of the door assembly showed that i could not order the glass alone. As per the picture the glass was part of tge outer panel. I ordered the part and requested expedited shipment. But when I received the part, it did not have the glass in it. It was just the plastic frame. I felt cheated. When I called partselect, the said they could do nothing about it and asked me look for the part else where. I just lost $30. My recommendation is to never order parts from partselect.

microwave turn table not working
Removed the phillips screws from the base.
Using a # 10 secure driver, remove the motor. (I recommend obtaining a secure star driver set to be sure you have the right size)
Replace the spacer, which is a separate part from the motor.
Reinstall the spacer and motor.
Reinstall the bottom panel.
Enjoy!
