LFX25974SW LG Refrigerator - Instructions

Just had to slip the 2 pegs into the existing holes.

Unscrewed what remained from broken door stop, aligned new one, screwed it in. Done!

Took the old one out and put the new one in.

Unplugged the frig and removed two phillip screws on flapper door of left door... Unplugged the electrical connector and removed flapper...
Picked up new flapper and snapped electrical contractor together... Slid new flapper bar into place and inserted two phillip screws... Job complete in 15 minutes...

I have moderate to good mechanical skills, but getting the old switch out was a sizeable challenge. Since this switch suffered some damage during extraction, I was lucky to have ordered a new one to replace it. Reinstall took approximately 90 seconds. PartSelect saved me an expensive service call.

Remove old main board and replace with a new one .

Closed valve to water supply line; Removed contents of top shelf. Removed top shelf by sliding it out. Unscrewed old water filter and screwed in new filter. Replaced to shelf and contents in reverse order. Opened water supply line.

remove all trays from refrigerator , remove screw holding rail and install new rail.

Simple replace of door, fits perfectly

1. Unplug the refrigerator (to avoid shock) 2. With one screwdriver pry open the switch on the side facing the door to a gap of about 1/8 inch 3. Insert a second screwdriver into the gap to press the plastic tab back slightly and this should release the part. 4. pull the part out and unplug it, you may have to pry back some small tabs on the sides, 5. Plug in the new switch 6. plug in the refrigerator the light should come on, if not tighten the connection 7. Insert new switch back into its slot, it should snap in place. Done!

I disconnected the refrigerator power, removed the 2 screws holding the mullion door on the left side of the refrigerator French-door (it’s the flap that allows the door to close). Removed the broken spring and installed the replacement spring in its place. Reinstalled the mullion door by putting it in place and installing the previously removed screws.

1. Remove all food from the shelf and take out the crisper drawers.
2. Remove the glass and take out the crisper frame.
3. Take the screws out of the frame that are holding the cover frame in place and remove the old cover frame..
4. Install the new cover and replace screws.
5. Re- install the drawers and glass.

Now that you have to buy a complete assembly that includes the drawer in the classy window it's very simple to replace however you buying parts that you don't need simply because G no longer makes the window. Which I find rather odd being as though that they make the whole assembly think and sell windows by themselves for less than 2/3 of what I spent through the whole assembly

Researched repair videos on You Tube and found a half dozen videos with narrative describing this ice maker replacement. Viewed a couple of them and just followed their instructions. Extremely easy for anyone who is even just a tad handy. I estimate I saved between $200-250 by completing the repair myself.

Six screws to remove the old one (I looked up the process on Youtube) and six screws had it back in tip top shape.
Three wire connections, two were plug in and one was a ground wire.
BTW: It was a 3 wire, not a 6 wire. I had ordered that by mistake and PartSelect made the return and replacement very easy.
