LFX25974SW LG Refrigerator - Instructions

Watched a YouTube video on how to replace the door flipper (mullion). Very easy to unscrew the plate and disconnect the electrical circuit. Then gently slide up the flipper and replace with a new one.

was easy watching youtube video of how to replace whole ice maker, was only 3 screws, remove from the door, a couple of screws hold it to the flat piece, route the wires around the unit, connect the plug as installing it in the door, position it, and tighten 3 screws, that easy

REMOVED 4 SCREWS HOLDING UNIT IT DISCONECTED PLUG TO CONTROLER AND REMOVED IT BY PULLING OUT ON THE BOTTOM FIRST. TO INSTALL SLIDE THE UNIT UP AND IN FROM THE BOTTOM CONNECT THE PLUG AND INSTALL THE SCREWS. THE TOP SCREW HAS A PLASTIC SPACER WASHER. UNIT WILL NOT START TO MAKE ICE UNTILL IT REACHES TEMPATURE, GIVE IT TIME. WATER DESPENSER WILL WORK. CONTROLS ON THE FRONT OF THE DOOR WILL LIGHT UP NORMALY. I REMOVED MINE WHILE WAITING FOR PART TO ARRIVE, 4 DAYS. EVERYTHING WORKED EXCEPT WATER & ICE DESPENSER AND CONTROL DISPLAY ON THE DOOR.

Closed valve to water supply line; Removed contents of top shelf. Removed top shelf by sliding it out. Unscrewed old water filter and screwed in new filter. Replaced to shelf and contents in reverse order. Opened water supply line.

I looked at the picture I took. Used needle nose pliers and inserted one end. Unless the lady of the house is very strong, this should be handled by a man, because of the rigid spring. Once the spring was inserted into one side of the flap, I used the pliers to get the other end into the proper slot. Very easy, but the spring is very strong !!

Replaced Ice maker unit

I had previously watched a YouTube video (do this first!!) on a similar Kenmore model so I knew what to look out for: (1) turned off power, (2) took thin putty knife to slip under outer lip of switch (most screwdrivers are too thick), (3) wiggled switch at front end to release the tab, (4) unplugged from the socket, (5) plugged in new switch, (6) popped new switch back into door, (7) turned on power. Voila !! Super easy. I couldn't believe it.

Unplugged fridge, shut off water supply disconnected water supply from fridge. Remove screws that hold lower cover on back of fridge, removed screws holding valve assembly to fridge. Disconnect two electrical connections, remove black c-clip on out flow water line, lift fitting on outflow line side and pull water line off. Replace with valve assembly in reverse order

Replaced old hose and installed the new one. Was very simple with the instructions in your email..... step by step, could not of been any similar.... you guys rock

Make sure you remove the double crisper frame that the glass sits on to get both the glass and frame to room (same) temperature!!!!!as easy as that!!!!!

Expensive to have repair man come out and find out that I’ve been mailed wrong spring again. My icemaker is on the left hand side this is the side of refrigerator- I need the spring for left side with the ice maker. Twice they have mailed me the Wrong spring that goes on the right hand side I have tried to explain this to the person that waits on me. Do I have to pay for another spring and mail this one back ?i have mailed one back and postage is getting expensive.

I watched a couple of You Tube videos on how to make the repair, ordered a new spring from Part Select, and installed the new spring when it arrived. Took about 5 minutes for the actual repair.

Check the spring when it arrives. The first one I received was wound the wrong direction. Called customer service and they were super. Refunded the charge for the first spring, found the correct one for me, and mailed it out.

Remove 2 screws holding to door. Slide assembly up. Unplug connector. Remove old Plate Assembly. Do reverse to reinstall. Plug connector. Push in wires. Slide plate on. Fasten screws. Done
