LFX25973ST (04) LG Refrigerator - Instructions

Found the part on Parts Select. Ordered the part, which came quickly. While waiting for delivery. I watched a short video on how to replace this part. I'm a 73 yr. old female, and no trouble at all. I really felt a sense of accomplishment. Thank you Parts Select.

Replaced with new mullion

Removed two screws from door and three locking brackets with a small common screw driver. Raised the bracket, slide in the spring, held down the bracket, installed screws and plastic covers. Less than 2 minutes. Easy application no problem with the new spring or ,mullion..

This was an incredibly easy repair! 1 phillips screwdriver and two screws. Disconnect the small adapter, and you are good to go!

Watched the video. Took the screws out, unplugged the connection and slid mullion off. Then plugged the new one in, slid it on and attached the two screws.

Remove 2 screws swing light down a little bit and pull it to front unplug wires . The hard part of job was finding new replacement light, Partselect.com was only sight I could find that had new replacement number and had the light . Other sites including LG site would only tell me the part number on old lights was discontinued 2 of sites said try used appliance dealers

Swapped old one with new one. New one had extra plug not needed.

Pulled old gasket off by hand. New gasket was easy to install by pushing it into molded cutout in refrigerator door.
Very satisfying to have no glitches in the seamless installation.

Thanks to videos on You-Tube which showed step by step removal and replacement. It was a simple process. only thing missing on the video was information on the green ground wire.

1. Remove all food from the shelf and take out the crisper drawers.
2. Remove the glass and take out the crisper frame.
3. Take the screws out of the frame that are holding the cover frame in place and remove the old cover frame..
4. Install the new cover and replace screws.
5. Re- install the drawers and glass.

Scary not hard. But pry panel out start at bottom or right side and pull. and was told from tube video that lg said if you break a few tabs that was normal and not to worry there is plenty. I think I broke one but after repair just pushed it back into place and it is good as new. The broken part was obvious and easy to replace. Just go for it

I disconnected the refrigerator power, removed the 2 screws holding the mullion door on the left side of the refrigerator French-door (it’s the flap that allows the door to close). Removed the broken spring and installed the replacement spring in its place. Reinstalled the mullion door by putting it in place and installing the previously removed screws.

Closed valve to water supply line; Removed contents of top shelf. Removed top shelf by sliding it out. Unscrewed old water filter and screwed in new filter. Replaced to shelf and contents in reverse order. Opened water supply line.

Made installation of the new part a piece of cake. Easy peasy!! Took less than 10 minutes.

Unplugged the frig and removed two phillip screws on flapper door of left door... Unplugged the electrical connector and removed flapper...
Picked up new flapper and snapped electrical contractor together... Slid new flapper bar into place and inserted two phillip screws... Job complete in 15 minutes...
