LAT7300AGX Maytag Washer - Instructions

I removed the front of the washer then lifted the top up and swiveled it to the right. The solenoid is located in the back left. I remove the solenoid retaining screws from the the back of the washer, pulled the wires form the connectors on the top and bottom solenoids (hot and cold) and removed the defective valve. The new unit fit exactly! the total time to replace the solenoid valve was 25 minutes.

Removed door panel to get to the electric control conponents and noticed a burned wire to one of the door microswitches. Ordered the door switch repair kit from PartSelect. Also, ordered and replaced the thermal fuse at the same time since it was only $12 and didn't know if that blew at the same time the switch cooked. I had the parts coming standard delivery (3-5 days), but they arrived the very next day. Parts included easy to follow directions.Job went pretty smooth and the dishwasher works again Good experience!

unplugged electricity from socket, turned water feed off at spigots, put plastic basin to catch water under place where hoses connect to washer, used pliers to turn disconnect hoses from washer and let them drain into basin. unfastened top screw on panel (only one) and tipped the old water inlet valve connections out over basin -- still spilled water onto floor, though. unfastened two screws holding old valve assembly to panel, set panel aside. loosened clamp screw on hose, moved hose off old valve -- a little water spilled out. held new assembly in similar position as moved wires one by one. used dry cloth to make sure electrical connections dry, then put hose back on, tightened clamp screw, fastened assembly to panel, fastened panel to washer, fastened hoses to valve, waited a half hour hoping any water on wires had dried, turned on water, washed clothes -- success!

Made sure I had the right part. Inlet Valve looked just like the one on the website. Unpluged washer. Removed screws and water hoses. Disconnected wires from old Inlet valve and reconnected to new Valve. Disconnected water line from Inlet valve to washer tub. Reconnected water lines. Ran a test cycle. Works great. Wife very happy. Therefore, so am I.

First thing unpluged power cord from wall outlet, removed hot and cold water supply hoses.Then took out srew holding metal plate ,pulled plate out exposing valve, marked wires and diconnected.Pulled clamp and hose from valve.Pulled out valve and reinstalled new.Reconnected wires and hose.Installed screw to hold in place, reconnected hot and cold supply hoses.Plug unit back in. Job done.Washer works like new.

just be careful - shut off water and unlug first.

First removed 2 screws(phillips) at bottom of front cover and lifted front to remove. Then removed 2 3/8 screws from under top cover and lifted cover and slid forward to exposed Syphon Break. After running briefly on spin, it was easy to see where the leak was. Syphon break was installed in 5 minutes by removing both hoses and 4 hex screws and reinstalling. Part arrived as promised in 3 days. I was very pleased with the whole experience.

Remove the following items: Washer to sink hose (loosen hose clamp and twist hose), two philips screws from bottom of front panel, front panel, upper side bolt screws, tilt up top washer deck and secure, remove 4 syphon break screws from rear of unit, remove pump to syphon break hose,
remove old syphon break, install new part and tighten with hose clamp, re-install pump to syphon break hose, re-assemble in reverse order. Check for leaks. Show your wife.

Went on line an watch video that described the problem. Order the part and received it overnight. Went back online to your website and watched the video on how to do the repair. Followed the suggestions in the video and finished the repair in about 30 minutes. Really appreciate the help your company give me and have bookmarked your site for future use.

very simple to repair, three screws and disconnecting water supply pulling four wires then reverse steps and done, time spent less than 15 minutes.

My husband figured out what the problem was and I looked for the part. It was easy to find on your web-site, and the picture was spot on! I ordered it and had the part in 2 days. Because the washer was old, 27 years, I actually ordered a new machine but after doing so was able to get the old washer to pump out the water. It had overfilled and spilled water on the floor. The next time I ran the washer using "warm" setting the hot water inlet solenoid failure was evident. I checked voltage at the solenoid and it was getting power so figured I'd try ordering a $30 part. In a couple of days it showed up and after less than :30 minutes I had the washer running again. It would have taken less time but a screw stripped out and I had to locate a replacement. I'd definitely recommend PartSelect. Oh, we cancelled the replacement washer and figured the Maytag repairman could resume his slumber!

Very easy as the water inlet valve is located on the back of the washer and it was a simple matter of shutting off the water, undoing water hoses, undoing water inlet valve which didn't even need to remove the back side of the washer and connecting the new part, water hoses and turning water back on. The hardest part was tipping the washer, my sits on top of the cold air return, and balancing on a milk crate. Very pleased with being able to do my own repair.

First check that the screens are not plugged. There are fine screens in the mixing valve and at times you will find them in either end of the inlet hoses. Not a hard job if you can get to the back of the machine, just a few small screws, swap the wires to the new part and swap the outlet hose from the valve and screw it back together. Wife will think you are a wiz kid.
