KUIC18NNTS2 KitchenAid Ice Maker - Instructions

Unplugged the unit. Removed 2 screws to remove front cover to access the cutter grid.removed 2 screws to the cutter grid, unsnapped power connector and removed broken grid. Slid new grid in place, reconnected power connector, replaced screws, plugged in ice maker and slid back in place. Very easy!!!

Just install the new valve by reversing the process of removing the old valve. Only possible nance is with the quick release hose fittings - the collar is pushed down to release the hose. Also, be sure to FULLY reinsert the hose in the new valve. Best to twist the hose a bit when inserting so it goes through the o-ring inside the valve. If not fully inserted, it will leak.

Removed broke wire and replaced new wire. Use gloves to pull the wire tight. That's very important.

I replaced the two pumps, since both were the same design...figuring if one went bad then the other would soon go bad...and then I also replace the water level sensor. All had quick connect plugs. The time is just taking apart the various pieces, cleaning, installing the new pumps and sensor, then reassembling.

Figured out You have to pop off the cocer than remove the 1/4 hex head screws only not the philips ones

Simple to replace. Next fall I will be sure to drain the outdoor icemake and shut it down for the winter.

After turning off water to icemaker, defective control removed (two screws) and new unit installed.Worked perfectly.I was totally amazed when I ordered the part thursday afternoon and it arrived fridaY morning.Total time out of operation less than 24 hours.Wonderful results.

I determined it was the cutter grid because there was a broken wire on the existing one. They have to heat up and cut the ice. I ordered it and the part was at my house in 1 day. The cutter grid part was easy to install. The ice maker is working great now.

Unplugged the refrigerator then removed two vertical screws on the very back back of the control panel (the ones with the washers). Do not remove the four other vertical screws in the panel. The front plastic plate on control panel snaps off and there are two horizontal screws under the plate. Remove them and the control panel will drop down allowing access to the light switch. Unplug the two wires (one black and one white) from the old switch. Discard the old switch, snap the new one into place and reconnect the two wires. Snap the front plastic plate back into place, plug in the refrigerator and you are done! Problem solved with a new $16.00 switch and saved at least $75.00 or more from an appliance repair call. Fast after a little help from a friend

Remove back panel on unit locate condenser fan and motor remove three small screws holding motor assembly to metal bracket disconnect electrical connection press new fan blade on new motor reverse directions

Remove inside door trim plate. Then removed three screws that held in the light assembly. The only difficult thing was reconnecting the temperature adjustment rod. After replacing this rod you must slide the temperature control slide to midway and this hold the rod in place while reinstalling the light assembly. If I were to do it again it would probably take me half as long.

I tried WD40, it worked for a day. Got a new part from PartSelect.com and was a good brand. Panasonic. Easy fix and works great. Saved a bundle. I priced a new fridge, no way, this was better. Thank you Partselect.
