recessed coupling removal
I tried the method of removing the base, putting the coupling in a vise and turning the shaft(reverse thread). I managed to spread the slot with the screw driver to the point it was no longer an option. I looked on You Tube for ideas and found one. With the base completely assembled, take a flat edged screw driver placed against the coupling (clockwise) strike the end of the screwdriver until the coupling loosens, turn coupling off by hand. I had to beat it, but it worked and now so does the blender.

Blades broke off on the Origional blender
Unfortunately you can not purchase just the blade assembly so I had to order a new jar minus the lid assembly. Just put the jar on the base and I was done. The blades would unbolt from the jar but they are not sold seperately.

The rubber blender foot was missing.
Inserted the replacement rubber blender foot in to the socket. Simply pushed it in. Fit snugly. Thanks for being one of the only places you can get a replacement rubber blender foot!
