Replace charcoal filters in microwave - vents inside.
Remove the screws holding the bottom vent plate to the upper unit, using a Phillips head screwdriver. Loosen a front screw last, but don't remove it. While supporting the plate in one hand, unscrew the final screw with the other. Lower the front of the bottom plate - tabs in the rear will prevent the plate from falling out. Bend the outer tabs holding the old filters in place, to allow them to be slid out. Insert the new filters & bend the tabs back into locking position. Raise the bottom plate and finger tighten a front screw. Replace and tighten all screws. This is also a simple way to remove/clean/replace the mesh filters. I've pulled the D-rings off trying to slide them out from below.

A glass fell out of pantry onto glass tray and broke it.
I called the repair/parts number to make sure I had correct parts and the young lady instructed me as to the size of the serving tray; within 48 hours we had the VERY carefully wrapped carton opened and back in the microwave, working perfectly. Thank you. We'll recommend you to our friends!

Microwave was making a grinding sound
Problem was easily diagnosed using the internet as a resource, problem was a bad stirrer motor. Hardest part of the repair was the removal of the microwave. Once off the wall, you remove the outer cover and a molded plastic casing directly underneath the outer cover at the top of hte microwave to expose the stirrer motor. Removed two screws and two wires and the old motor is out. Did exactly the opposite to install the new motor. The kit I recvd included among other things the motor, a new inside cover, plastic rivets and even silicone to seal the inside cover. I am sure I saved a couple hundred dollars by doing myself.

Replace door handle
Taking the door apart was easy once you figured out how it came apart. Youtube videos were not helpful as every brand of microwave is different; what works for one does not work for another. My Kitchenaide has little interior hooks on the inside of the door, 8 on top, 8 on bottom, 4 on the hinge side. You have to pry the door-skin up to get teh hook disengaged, then get a putty knife or similar to keep the hooks from re-engaging. Once you have about 6 or 7 undone, the door starts to come apart. Eventually the exterior of the door comes off; the interior of the door remains hinged. After that, you'll figure it out...
