beater came loose at shaft
when mixer was about 1 year old. Complete beater mechanisum cane loose from shaft. Mom was in the middle of baking some cakes, so I took the shaft and beater down to my garage and drilled a straight hole through the beater collar and shaft the threaded it through and installed a screw which after installing I peened over the ends so it wouldnlt come loose. Thie repair lasted longer than the original part by a lot of years. Now the beater became loose on the shaft and was woobelng so I bought a complete new beater assy.
