Where is the fuse located in the microwave
For model number JVM1630WFC01
PartSelect logo
Hello Ken and thanks for writing. It is located behind the control panel, then use a fuse puller or screwdriver to pull the wires off of the prongs and remove the fuses. Then, you'll have to insert a new fuse into the slot. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

Microwave blew fuse when i opened the door. I replaced the upper door switch about 2 weeks ago because it did the same thing. Worked good for a couple weeks now blown again. What could be the problem?
For model number JVM1630WFC01

Hello Ken, thank you for your question. The issue could be with the other door switches. We would recommend testing the 3 different switches, and if they are all found to be working properly the issue could be with one of the thermostats, or control board. I hope this helps.

How do I remove the upper door switch after I remove the wires from it.
For model number JVM1630WFC01
PartSelect logo
Hi Ken, Thank you for your question. Before you begin any repair please unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet. Use a Phillips head screw driver to unthread the screws securing the grill. With the screws removed, open the microwave oven door then the slide the grill to the left and lift it up to remove. Next remove the control panel mounting screw then lift the control panel up to detach. Then remove the screw holding the inner access panel and then release the panel from the retaining clips. Now remove the screws holding the switch assembly. Depress the release tab and the actuator to detach the switch you are replacing. Disconnect the wire connector to fully release the old switch. Install the new door switch by first connecting the wire connector. Now position the new switch in the assembly snap it into place. Realign the switch assembly on the frame and secure it with the screws. Reinstall the inner access panel securing it with the screw. Now insert the control panel tabs to the slots in the frame and push the panel down. Secure it with the mounting screw. Insert the tabs of the grill into the frame and slide it to the right. Shut the oven door and then secure the grill with the screws. Plug the power cord back in and the microwave should now work. We hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Can I replace the handle easily?
For model number JVM1630WFC01
PartSelect logo
Hi Dale, Thank you for your question. The repair should not be too difficult. Using a putty knife, insert it under the inside edge of the interior door trim and gently pry the trim off. With the trim removed, you can now remove the screws securing the door handle and remove it. Once you have removed the old door handle, align the new door handle on the door and secure it with the screws. Then position the interior trim on the door and snap it into place. We hope this helps!

A Cooking Tray developing a growing crack
The unbelievable happened. Our glass carousel cooking tray developed a crack. Each day the crack got longer. I ordered a new one on Tuesday and it arrived the next morning just before the cracked one completely cracked. I have never experienced such fast service. I highly recommend PartSelect and their helpful service.
