I'm writing because I have never in my life had such an easy time finding a part, ordering it, and receiving it! Your service is truly unbelievable. I still don't believe it and I experienced it. Nothing went wrong and it could not have been easier. Please don't go away.

Plastic broke off where the screws are inserted.

After reading reviews that there was no power what so ever and a fuse replacement will solve the problem, I tried it. Replacing the fuse is very easy (and I am not handy at all). All you have to do is remove the microwave cover from the top by removing two screws, slide the cover to the left and pulling the cover off. Then remove the grill in front of you, by removing one or two screws. The fuse is in front of you, use pliers and be firm but gentle. Replacing the fuse is easy but it did not solve my problem.

Removed outer cover and then replaced the T. C. O. located on the left upper side if the unit. Replaced outer cover, tested oven. Oven operates normally.

First unplugged the microwave, took top grill off, took control panel off, took wires off and used color coded tape to make sure they went back in right places, took fuse out and replaced it and put every thing back and it all worked fine and to top it off my wife did it all. So it was pretty easy.

On March 21st my wife's daughter and husband and I tackled the repair. I am physically limited, so their help was not only welcomed but necessary.First, removed two screws on the top of the oven to remove the vent panel. Then removed the door by lifting up (as described by others). Next removed the black plastic trim from around the window, using a table knife to pry it loose. Broke off some of the clips but that proved to be no problem at reinstallation. Removed 6 small screws holding the window assembly, but we were unable to pry the plastic tabs loose and we never were able to remove the panel. The screw to the upper end of the door handle is exposed and easily accessible. The screw holding the lower end of the handle is underneath the metal window assembly. We drilled a hole in the metal assembly until the screw was exposed. Removing the screw was a major undertaking. The housing in which the screw was imbeded would not release the screw. We used the drill with a small bit to drill the plastic out until the screw came free. It was difficult and tedious and time consuming. After finally releasing the two screws we began installation of the handle. We found the female receptacle on the handle was very reluctant to accept the screw, both top and bottom. The job was eventually completed after we lubricated the female receptacle adequately. Even so the handle is not quite a snug as I would have liked to have it.The job was hard, tedious, and took over two hours. reinstalltion of the door was no problem. I don't believe the designers and manufacturers intended amateurs to make this repair

Our GE Profile Advantium 120 Series Over-the-Range Microwave stopped working. We called GE Service. The first available appointment was two weeks after our call. The technician charged $99, gave us a form stating that the Magnetron and Diode Cable as defective and quoting an additional price of $362 to furnish and install these parts. He said that it would be another two weeks before he could do the work. Instead I ordered the parts from you and had them within two days. The parts you furnished were identical to the original parts in our unit. They arrived within two days. I installed the parts without removing the microwave from the wall. The most difficult part was inserting the magnetron mounting screws into openings in the rather tight space available. I was able to do this by using plastic pacaging tape to hold the screws onto the end of a short Phillip screw, Prior to iserting each screw I pushed it through the sticky side of a piece of packaging tape. I then folded the sticky surface over the shank of the screw. Once a screw was seated, but before it was fully tightened, I used needle nose pliers to pull off the tape. The unit now functions perfectly.

Removed cover, diagnosed problem, ordered part from Parts Select, received part in 2 days, replaced part, tested and replaced oven into built in space.

Read instructions and viewed video. Project would have been very difficult without the instructions and video. Step 1 removed vent grill at top to microwave, by removing two scres. Step 2 removed microwave door by lifting. Step 3 used a one inch plaster knife to separate the plastic interior cover of the door. The video was most helpful. Use the thin blade of the plaster knife to locate snap locations of the plastic cover. Step 4 removed broken latch by applying slight pressure to the outside. Observed the attachment of the 'spring'. Step 5 installed new latch and spring. Step 6 reinstalled interior plastic cover. Step 7 install door. Step 8 install vent cover with two screws. Step 9 test unit.

Remove choke,then remove glass, then replace handle reinstall in reverse

Snap the plastic trim piece from the inside of the door off.took broken latch out and put the new one in.PS your part came really fast.Thanks

I first removed the top vent cover by pushing upwards slowly as not to break the plastic tabs holding it it place. Then lifted the door off of the hinges. Laying the door flat, I then inserted small screwdrivers (eyeglass repair size) into the "Mask frame" to push the "J" tabs inward. Do slowly as they get brittle with age. Remove the 8 small screws holding the door assembly to the plastic frame. You'll see the 2 screws holding the handle in place. Remove them, install new handle, reverse process. About 35 minutes.

I pulled out the unit and found 2 interlock switches that are depressed when the door closes. After cycling the door open/closed I found that one of the switches occasionally would stay depressed. The repair was easy (after I took off the panels so I could get to the switch) I simply removed 2 screws that attached the interlock switch assemblies to the main unit. Then I popped out the defective switch and popped in the new one. This did indeed fix my problem.

This seems to be a fairly common occurrence so I've repaired this multiple times, once a year on average. The on site instructions are clear. Lift the top vent area off so you can remove the door. Open the door all of the way, lift off of the bottom peg and pull from the top. Lay door on a flat surface and with a small flat head screwdriver, gently pry the frame up (part 1804, door chock cover). There are small plastic tabs holding this part: use caution as they break easily. Once removed, on the door assembly, remove the small Philips screws: push the plastic tabs back, one side first; this part should then slide out. Both door handle screws are the exposed. Remove these (probably holding the broken handle parts, use the small screwdriver for lift to remove parts). Place the new handle on the door and replace the screws. replace the door assembly, be sure to lock all of the tabs back in place, snap door mask in place, replace door.
