remove/replace baking element. Relatively simple to do; however, I used the old screws/nuts as they worked better than the new ones which were included.

Took the old one out and replaced with the new one. It was just awkward to get at.

New element arrived in a couple of days! We turned off breaker to oven, removed the old one which only involved two screws. Then we had to connect new one and re-attach metal square, only tricky part was getting the metal square positioned correctly but that was really not hard, just made sure insulation was covered and plate went back in same position. If we had called a eepair company it would have taken a week or more and probably been expensive!

Throughout, I took care to not rest my full weight on oven door, although it's hard to work with arms extended. Shut off power to oven at outside circuit breaker, removed both racks, placed trouble light on open oven door at left to illuminate back of oven. Tilted element up to get at bolts. Used 1/4" socket set to remove two hex bolts holding burned-out element's plate to back of oven, pulled it out 3" to expose wire connectors. Held connectors still with pliers in left hand (to not bend wires) while loosening/removing connector bolts with socket set in right hand. Took effort to loosen. Removed element. Wiped oven floor clean. Positioned new bake element in same place, again held connectors still with pliers (left hand) and tightened wire connector bolts with socket set (right hand), pushed element back to original element's position. New element came with screws, not bolts, so used magnetic Philips screwdriver to get screws lined up (tricky), tighten new element's plate to oven's back wall. Removed trouble light, restored power, set closed oven for "bake" and "350 degrees." Element glowed hot in 1 1/2 minutes, ta-daah!

took the element screws off, a little bit dificult to fine the small wrench socket to disengage. I had to have my husband do it because I have too short arms.
I can't believe how much money we saved., the part was there within two days and installed, for a total of 52.00 including next day Fed ex.
Feel good about the whole expierence.

On thanksgiving day, as we were pre-heating the oven, electric sizzle, sparks and a little flame comes from our 24 year old oven. We were able to get dinner on the table and that evening I went looking for what I thought was going to be a difficult to find part. But I found the part on partselect. I ordered that evening and got it on saturday. Installation was a snap. The most difficult part was the nuts holding the wires were stuck on from time and heat and I worried about the wire from the small plate to the coil might break. A little wd-40 and a few minutes and they popped right off and right back on. Works great now.

husband said he would call repairman. I found you and ordered part. By the time my husband got around to calling the repairman, I was finished.
Only trouble was getting my hands to work in the small space. The cover plate was not as big as the former unit so I had to muscle it on. BUT, it was a very easy process and we saved tons of money on a repairman and a new oven/micro. THANKS.

Turned breaker off to oven. Removed 2 screws from burned out element in back of oven and pulled it out. Installed new element and tightened the two screws. Very easy.

My oven is 31 years old so was suprised I could still get parts.

I have to admit that I tried to remove the element myself but I did not have the right tool for the last two screws. If I did it would have been very easy. I ordered the part and had someone else put it in so I cheated.

My petite 69 yr old wife replace element in about 15 minutes with no problem..Also product arrived within a short time frame and your online instructions were accurate. Thanks

several months ago the bake element in my oven started cracking. When it started sparking I knew I had to replace it or get a new oven. I ordered the part and it was easy. The old one fell apart as I removed it. I honestly don't know how it was still heating. Anyway, all I did was turn off the electric to the oven, then I had to remove to screws that attached it to the wall of the oven. That was the hardest part because I couldn't see them well so I had to put a lantern in the oven. Then I had to pull it out enough to remove the screws from within. Then I just reversed the process to install and everything worked great! Saved me a lot on calling a repair man.

I read your website repair testimonials by previous customers and used that advise to do the job. I liked the suggestion to use something to attach to the unattached wires so they don't slip back into the unit. I used two clothespins. I had one stubborn electrical connection to disconnect so it took a little longer -about 30 minutes. But it was a simple job to do and my oven works fine again. The item was delivered timely from the order date and packaged well. Thank-you!

Unscrewed the broken element from the back of the inside of the oven, then unscrewed the connected wires from the element and did the reverse with the new element. Viola.

Before touching anything, however, I made sure the oven was in the off position and also went to the house circuit breaker box and flipped OFF the appropriate circuit breaker(s). There were two - one for the element and another for the rest of the controls.

When everything was in place, I turned the power back on and turned on the oven and was cooking again. We had Prime Rib for Easter.

Turned off power. Unscrewed two screws and pulled old element out of oven. Disconnected the two wires. Cleaned oven thoroughly, held new bake element with soft rag so as to not get fingerprints all over it. Wired new element and screwed it back into oven.

Baking sweet potatoes as I write, they will be delicious with my black-eyed peas and ham, a New Year's tradition in my neck of the woods.

First turned off the power to the oven then removed two screws holding element in place. Pulled it out a couple inches disconnected the two wires. Then connected two wires to the new element pushed it back into two place and reinstalled screws that hold element in place. Really easy about 15-20 minutes to complete
