Before I began I unplugged the electrical at the wall outlet. 1. Unscrewed the 4 mounting screws. 2. disconnected electrical at the motor. 3. removed the assembly. 4. mounted the new motor on the assembly as described in the instructions. Installed the assembly and reconnected the electrical. Works great, easy job!

A bit of a tight squeeze for my hands, but very basic as I followed the instructions and watched the installation video. I only had the fridge unplugged for about 20 min..The fridge is as quiet, as it was brand new. The only tool I needed was the 1/4 inch socket wrench. A portable lantern was very helpful as well. Runs very quiet now, like new! Thx!!!

Fast after a little help from a friend

Repair was so simple, I didn't even need instructions. Removed old fan with motor, installed new one, installed harness that converted plugs, done. Saved hundreds of dollars doing the repair myself.

I watched the film on installing and taking out. Step by step. easy.

Unplug regrigerator power cordfrom wall outlet. Using nut driver remove cover from lower back side of refrigerator. Unplug wire connection to fan. Using nut driver remove the four screws holding the fan/bracket assembly. Carefully remove fan/bracket assembly from refrigerator. Using nut driver,remove the old fan from fan bracket. Using nut driver install new fan on fan bracket. Carfefully install new fan/bracket assembly and install the four screws. Plug wire connection to fan (you may need to use adapter supplied with new fan). Reinstall refrigerator lower back cover. Plug refrigerator power cord back into outlet. Note: you may wish to carefully vacuum dust from back of refrigerator before installing back cover. You should also vacuum dust from front side.

Disconnected power cord, removed rear cover of refrigerator, disconnected pig tail, removed 4 housing screws, took three mount screws out and removed old fan. Reversed steps, plugged in and complete repair done.

Pulled out old switch with needle nose pliers, unplugged old switch and plugged in the new one and snapped back into place. Very easy to repair. Took less than 10 minutes

Instructions were really clear and easy to follow. Hardest part of the job was moving the refrigerator away from wall after it was filled with holiday groceries.

Purchased the new light switch, used a butter knife to pop the old one out, used the pliers to pull the wires off the metal tabs, replaced the new one with no problem. Took about under 1 minute. Lights are now all working.

I surfed partselect and read that a reader had a similar problem with a rattling fan. I then removed the back panel, after I had unplugged the unit, and was able to feel the slop in the fan shaft. I then watched the video of how to replace the fan and ordered the part soon after. The part arrived 3 days later! Easy to do. I was finished in 12 minutes and the fridge runs silently. The part of the job that took the longest was vaccuming the undercarriage. There was alot of dust! Couldn't have helped the efficiency on the fridge. Keep it clean.

It took less that 30 seconds to pop out the old one and less that 30 seconds to install the new one.

Popped out the old one......plugged in the new one and popped it back into place. My wife was happy in have light again in the fridge!

Initially thought I could repair switch, but then discovered spring was broken. Ordered the new switch (Parts Select is very efficient - received switch in 3 days). Was encouraged by the posts regarding the switch installation. I had some difficulty removing the old switch. Used a pocket knife to ease the switch out of the hole to reveal the clip/spring. After noting the clip/spring location I used a small flat-blade screwdriver to release the clip. Even though I released the "molded" clip/spring(be sure to note where the spring is on the new switch and release it on the switch it was tight in the hole and had to use pliers to carefully remove the old switch. After removing the old switch, used pliers to gently remove the wire leads. Then install the leads on the new switch. Note the orientation for replacing the switch and gently feed the connecting wires into the hole so they won't kink or prevent the switch from entering the hole. Install the switch noting the clip/spring location and the orientation of the lever that the door closes on to turn off the light. Be sure to put it in without binding at an angle.
