J403W1 General Electric Range - Instructions

I took the old element out, compared it to the pictures of the GE replacement elements, identified the correct one and ordered. It came I installed it in 15 minutes and it works just right. I was unable to determine the model number of my old oven so the pictures of replacement elements were invaluable. Thanks for making it so easy to avoid calling a repairman.

Removed element and installed new element. Fit perfect, no problems.

Unscrewed four screws, removed old element, replaced with new part, done!

First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. Attached the wires to the new heating element, screwed it back in. That's it.
I was glad they had the part for such an old oven.

After receiving parts, was getting rims unpackaged and removing the old rims, then and installing the new ones. Extremely easy to do. No tools needed

The repair seemed very easy, even before I attempted it. When I recieved my part it was very obvoius that this was my problem part. The old element was worn out(21 yrs old). Having Thanksgiving around the corner, my wife was happy we had a fix to our not ready to replace oven. Just replaced drip pans and rings on stove

Removed the panel screws that hold the bake element to the back of the stove. Then I disconnected the old element from the wires. Attached the new element using the provided screws. Reattached the old panel screws to hold the new bake element in place. Works great.

The new bake element doesn't have an item number on it, so I kept the old element in a cabinet someplace in case I have to replace this one again some day. I've lost the model number for my very old GE wall oven, so without that item number I'll be in trouble.

Super easy, 1 2 3 steps and your done. Make sure to turn power off, remove two screws off of back plate. Remove two screws on wire connectors. Throw old element away and connect both wires to new element and screw back into place. Turn power back on and start cooking.

My husband did the repair in about 15 minutes. It was apparently self explanatory and required no directions. Take the old one out and replace it the same way it came out. And viola!!, the oven works like new - all for about $33. Thanks

The installation process was just as easy as the removal. Approx 10 minutes and I was cooking. BTW, the heating element was at my house the next day after ordering. Great service

First unplugged from wall outlet, then just removed the old element and four screws. Replaced with the new one and rescrewed in. VERY VERY EASY!

First , for safety, I flipped breakers to kitchen applicances to cut off the power. Removed the 2 screws that held the old element in place. Pulled it out a couple of inches and disconnected the 2 wires attached to the prongs of the element. Reattached them to the new element, pushed it back in and replaced the screws. Turn power back on and voila! ... was ready to bake again! All this is a matter of 15 mins!
