Remove back panel . Removed fan shroud. Replaced fan and panel. Ops ck ok so far

took screw that holds motor frame in place out with nutdriver, rolled motor frame out after unplugging motor,took screw out of strap that held motor in frame, removed bushings from old motor and put them on the new one and re3versed the proceedure.

Follow the instructions on the video. Took pictures removing Evaporator Fan Motor. Installed new motor in 44 minutes. Thank you part Slect

I removed the ice marker first and took the back panel off using a nut driver. Be careful I had wires tied to the back panel, so I moved it like opening a door, right to left. The I removed the fan motor. Be careful not to damage the fan blades. I took the fan blades off and the dust cover. The dust cover was very tight. I had to use a very small screw driver to get it off. When I put the dust cover on the new motor I did not push it down tight. I turned the spindle of the new motor to make sure it turned. The put everything back. Turned it on and it worked. I put the ice marker on last. Take a note of how far the fan blades are on the spindle. The refrigerator now turns off more often.

On partselects video the gentleman removes the fan and housing in one piece. This is a great idea but does not work on this brand of ge. I removed the fan housing screw as instructed but left it in place and swiveled it enough to access the retaining screws with a socket driver. Over all swap of the fan was seamless and the video is a gem. Andy

took apart stat. area rplaced wire harness &t.stat simple but im a retired union electrican so wiring was a bit easy

I followed the instructions in the video regarding removal, repair and reinstall. It all went as the video said, except for the reinstall. The rear tab did not snick into place like the one in the video did, and it was extremely difficult to see whether or not it was inserted properly. I ended up inserting the rear tab by feel, and then I had to hold it in place while I stretched the front part of the frame to line up the screw hole in order to reinsert the screw. I had to have my wife hold the flashlight while I did that in order to see. Other than that, the repair went well, it is working like a charm, and I know I have a quality GE part in my refrigerator again! My compressor fan that blows over the coils was not spinning. I measured 120 VAC going to the fan so I knew it should have been spinning but wasn't. Took fan motor out and took it apart and super lubed the motor to get it spinning again temporarily until I could get the new one in. Put new one in and has been working for about 10 days now. Freezer is not below 0 deg F which is what you want. Frig is below 40 deg F also what you want.

pull out the slide pan lh and replace for the part

Remove plastic parts then remove back panel, remove plastic seround holding motor, romove 2 screws holding motor bracket, unplug motor, reinstall motor, bracket, seround, back panel DONE

Removed plastic housing and metal back panel,then removed fan motor and reinstalled everything. In all it took about 20 minutes

When the condensor fan motor started making those "Dying Mouse" noises I knew it was time to replace it. So I removed the fan motor and re-oiled it's lubricating packing, reinstalled it and promptly ordered a repacement moter online from PartSelect. easy pry out, disconnect wiring, connect on new switch and press in switch.
