Using plyers Pulled old switch down and out. Put new one in and pushed new switch up into position. The switch plugs into the contacts, no wiring needed. Worked like a charm. You saved me 200 dollars GE repair bill. Thanks

no brainer,watched the video,worst thing was to thaw the freezer,it was realy frosted,works like new,very happy thank you.

Removed the interior shelves and set screw which holds the light cover in place. Next I removed the four screws that hold the back panel in place. Located the defrost thermostat and removed it from the aluminum tubing by unclipping it, just as it was illustrated in the repair video. Cut the wires and stripped the ends and then connected them to the ends of the new defrost thermostat. Connected them together with an 16-14 gauge crimp style end cap. Taped the entry point into the end cap to reduce moisture penetration. Reassembled the back panel, light cover and shelves.

I called angies list to get a name of a repair person . We were having very hot weather and I did not want my freezer food to spoil. The cost was not bad for the look see $127.00 plus parts and labor added on to this. I decided to look on the internet and found your services and the video on how to replace the part that might be bad. I bought a new thermostat and also a sensor and added the control board as the refrigerator is 13 years old. I spent a total of $206.00 and did the work myself so no labor cost. Located temperature sensor on condenser in the freezer section( as per instructional video ). Cut off bad sensor with wire cutter then soldered on the new sensor and sealed with electrical shrink wrap.

I identified the noise was coming from the coils / and the fan. Cleaning the fan helped reduce the noise a bit but it still kept recurring. I ordered the part, which was really easy using the diagram on the website. The instructions and the video were really helpful and was able to remove the old motor and replace it with the new one with relative ease. While there I cleaned the fan blade and vacuumed the surrounding area. This whole repair went quite smoothly and has given me the confidence to take on other repairs before calling out the repairman.

Repair was rather simple. Removed the appropriate shelves and to make it easy to get to. Removed the ice container. I had to remove several items to get to the evaporator fan. Removed the ice dispenser motor cover, air duct cover, and the evaporator orifice cover. After all was removed the fan assembly was still attached to the orifice cover by the evaporator fan bracket. Remove bracket to remove the fan motor and assembly. Replace the all the old parts with the new and start the reassembly process. Really the only difficult part was working in such a small area. took out shelves and removed the back plate my removing 2 screws with a nutdriver.removed the old defrost timer and defrost heater which was really easy.then installed the new ones.the video i watched on the website was really helpfull.

Bought most of the evaporator fan replacement parts in order to completely replace the fan. Took the old one out, watched the video, verified assembly with old fan unit, reassembled. Piece of cake. Quiet as the day it was purchased.

I watched the videos before I received my parts. I thawed the freezer out, removed the panel in the back. Cut the wires to the defrost thermostat and spliced the new one on with wire nuts and tape. Then I did the same for the temp. sensor. Put it all back together. Now the freezer isn't running all the time. I set the temperatures back to normal and it seams to be fine.

I can't tell you how luck I feel after finding your website I ordered the temperature sensor after watching one of your videos on-line and the repair went just as on the video. I pulled the "bad" sensor out, and replaced it with the new one. Keep in mind that this is the first time I ever touch an appliance, needless to say I'm feeling pretty good about that! All in all it took me about 20 minutes to complete my repair and it now has been about 4 days and the refrigerator is working like new again!
