Did not have water flowing into dishwasher
I removed the old valve with wrench and Philips screw driver.Unscrewed the mounting plate and water hose. When I went to replace the new water inlet valve, I found that there was a mismatch on the screw holes for the new mounting plate. Different screw threads. I tried to find screws that would fit, but didn't have any.So I manged to make the old screws re-thread themselves and hold the plate in place. I then attached the water hose and started the dishwasher up. Make sure to power off the unit then power it back on to clear and reset the programming. Works great now.

Door latch would not release permitting the door to open for reloading.
First I removed the 8 screws on the interior side of the door that holds the plastic inner-face to the door assembly. This allowed me to easily pry the inner face away from the outer face which exposed the latch assembly.
The broken latch practically fell out making it very easy to work the new one into place.
I replaced the 8 screws, closed the door until I heard it latch and then squeezed the handle and was rewarded with a very satisfying sound and feel as the door popped open without a hitch.
I know a repairman would have cost me a minimum of $75 plus a hefty price for the part.

Water Inlet Valve was leaking on dishwasher.
I replaced the entire Water Inlet Valve. The part was perfect and fixed the problem. The only difficulty was the brass elbow connection that connects to the incoming water line had plumbing putting that connected it to the old Water Inlet Valve. I had to get a couple of large adjustable wrenches to take it off. I needed it as I didn't want to buy another one. I was thankful that I had some extra plumbing putty on hand to seal the threads when I put the brass elbow back on the new Water Inlet Valve. That saved me a trip to the hardware story. All in all, I'm very pleased that I was able to fix this myself. I'm not exactly a Mr. Fixit, so this was a good experience.

dishwasher would not fill with water and cycle
first off if you can understand the problem DO NOT CALL THE GE REPAIR SERVICE AND HAVE A REPAIRMAN COME TO YOUR HOME you will save over $300.00. a mistake i made, it cost me $79.95 just for him to tell me the dishwasher was broken and then i was told it would cost me over $300.00 to fix it. WHEN I TALKED TO PARTSELECT I FOUND THE WATERVALVE FOR A LITTLE OVER $55.00 WITH SHIPPING IT TOOK ABOUT 20 MINUTES TO DISCONNECT THE DISHWASHER AND REMOVE THE OLD PART AND ABOUT THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME TO REPLACE THE NEW ONE THEY EVEN HAD GOOD INSTRUCTIONS IF YOU NEEDED THEM. I FOUND PARTSELECT SERVICE TO BE A VERY GOOD BUSINESS TO WORK WITH. ROY F BURTNETT

Leak from motor output/pump input shaft
Cut power and water flow to the appliance. Laid appliance on its side, removed the electrical lead from the motor. Remove the mount from the back of the motor and loosened the two clamps- one to the sump and one to the discharge tube. Removed and replaced the pump/motor assy. with the new one, reinstalled the clamps, rear mount and electrical lead. Righted the unit and fired it up. Worked fine.

Water leaked on floor from corner od dishwasher door
I carefully read over comments from other people's experience first. I removed all the screws from the inside panel and had several heavy books to weigh down the door. This allowed me to remove the white inside panel, turn it to get easy access to the seal at the bottom. All that was necessary was to clean the area of builted up soap etc, start pulling old seal off from one side and at the same time insert the new seal in same track and groove, being careful to have the new seal lined up in the same manner as the old. The whole process was rather simple and required very little effort.

Dish washer spray arm clogged and not spraying
We tried cleaning the sprayer by unclogging the spray holes but it didn't last very long. I decided to see what it would cost to replace the piece. I have used this site before and love how easy it is to find the part you need. The sites have good pictures so you feel very good that you are ordering the correct part. They also have helpful suggestions for problem.. I ordered the part and it arrived two days later and we installed it right away...I started the dishwasher for a test run and forgot how loud it use to spray..The prices are also great just a service call from a repair man would of cost me triple what I got my new part.
