GCWP1805D1CC General Electric Washer - Instructions

Removed the softener despenser by pulling it straight up, then did the same with the agitator, except I had to turn it a little then pull straight up.

We pulled out the old parts and then we got the new parts and we put them in,

After much research I decided to have to repaired all new models were not good. Reached out to local service repair because I beleved that it was the timer. $270 for service call REALLY and $125 for part.

83 yr old woman and believe I could have done it myself if it wasn't for the problem of moving the dryer out. shut off electric four screws

I have never done this repair previously, and it was simple and easy, but I didn't know that until I watched your video. Several days after placing the order for the part, it came & I followed your video instructions, and voile! Washer works like new again. after reading repair stories, decided I should take front panel off and see where leak was coming from. taking the panel off was real pain but well worth as inside was dry! so I looked again and discovered a pin hole in drain hose that only leaked when tub was full. while I had panel off I noticed tub dampening straps were broken so went ahead and ordered those parts too.

Followed the video with one exception. The hose clamps were the spring-loaded type and putting the back hose clamp on was a problem, so I substituted a nut driven hose clamp. Other than that, no problems.

I just watchied the clip on the website during the day about how to fix it, went home that night and fixed it.

removed front washer cover (2) clips at top released with straight screwdriver . removed washer top cover (2) 1/4" head screws that are behind front washer cover. Then removed screws holding tub dampening straps (4)5/16" head from agitation drum housing from top, removed other end of strap from under side (4) 1/4" head screws. then assembled with new straps in reverse order. easy repair nice and quiet again.

The repair was done like the video suggested to do and in the order. And it worked well.In the step by step procedure.

Main thing is watch the video. It may vary a little according to the age of your appliance, as it did with me but common sense guides. The difference was minor on my part. Two hex head screws to remove per strap and they had to make them 1 size different. Go figure. Have your change handy. A ratchet nut driver will save you some time.

First tried pulling the old agitator out by hand but couldn't get my fingers under it to pull upward. Tried several times but no success. Finally put two metal rods about 8 inches long in the holes in the bottom of the agitator and used them to lift upward, it came up immediately. I then pushed the new agitator down into the slot and it was finished. There is always a way when you think about it.you are a winner.

order the part and replaced it and it works just great! Remove screws from rear top panel. Remove 2 retainer screws for instrument panel. Pull panel forward and then lean forward. Remove electrical connections. Remove screw that retains module. Pull know for selector outward . Push retainer clip out using screwdriver. Remove know. Tap shaft to pop module out . Replace module and installation is reverse of removal

really easy repair, just open the front cover panel & removed the Drain Pump.

Remove two bracket screws. Removed hose. Put new hose in place using same bracket and screws. inserted end of hose into washer drain. Secured hose to cold water hose with two zip ties.
