Refrigerator kept turning off and on
I easily removed the screws and then removed the board and took a picture so I would remember how to re-connect it. It was really easy and now my refrigerator is working great. If I can do it anyone can do it. My husband was amazed that I did it all by myself.

Compressor stoped running with no warning or noise.
Opened the back panel and removed the old board and replaced it with the new one. The new board had a couple of extra connectors that are not used. Replaced the cover and turned it back on, everything was working fine after that. This is the second refrigerator that has lost the main board in a month, Putting surge suppressors on both.

Top of freezer side to warm, bottom of refrigerator to cold
I unplugged the refrigerator. I removed cover plate with nut driver. I removed all wire harness plugs from old board and removed old board using needle nose pliers to squeeze existing holding clips. Old board came right out. I then snapped new board into place and replaced all the plugs. I replaced cover with nut driver and plugged in the refrigerator. Its been two weeks and all seems to be working fine.

"ghostly" sounds from refrig fan
read on line that fan control in main board can cause erratic running of the fan causing "whooing" and ghostly sounds. New board installed and now I have the quietest fridge in the neighborhood. Here's the unbelieveable part. Ordered the part online from parts select on good friday morning. Fed ex delivered it just after lunch the next day (saturday). Now that's the best service I've ever received!!

Ice & Water dispenser not working
Ice & Water dispenser did not dispense. When pushing on the dispenser lever, the entire unit briefly lost power and reset as though the appliance was unplugged. I heard a click from the back of the unit where the main board was located.
Fridge made ice but didn't operate. I determined the micro-switch and solenoid were working properly. So the only thing that could be wrong was the board.
Removed main board panel with screw/nut driver. Unplugged board connections. Un-snapped main board from housing assembly. Installation is the reverse.
Very easy. Only needed was a screw/nut driver. Electrical connections are easy since the harnesses can only fit to their own connection. No way to make a mistake.
Took no more than 10 minutes.

Problem solved!

Freezer stuck in Defrost cycle. Ice and water dispenser broken - turns off compressor when dispenser is used.
Partselect.com has a great video on how to replace the main control board. Very easy to do this repair.

It took me less that 5 minutes to complete.

Once the part was replaced, my defroster in the freezer is working perfect. The ice and water dispenser is working, too.

I saved myself $$$ going through Partselect.com rather than calling a repairman or replacing the fridge.

Repairman wanted to charge $400 for parts and labor. Saved $150 because he charged to diagnose the problem.

Clicking noise while trying to turn on,would not turn on.
I checked the problems others were having to see if they had simular ones. They were having the same clicking noise I was having. My refrigerator would not turn on. Clicking noise but would not start. They replaced the motherboard. I searched the internet for prices. Part select was about $30.00 cheaper that the other stores. I ordered from part select. Nice helpful people to deal with. I installed the part in about 5 minutes, very easy repair. They sent me an updated part. Thanks everybody and Part Select for your help.

Ice and Water Fail to Dispence - odd sounds
If you simply watch the video on Partselect and follow the the enclosed instructions you will have no problem. Gently wiggle the connectors and push them aside. The only tricky part was squeezing the little nylon pins that support the board to slide the old one off. They can be brittle so exercise some care. Snapping the new board on is - well a snap. The ground connector on my unit was a slide-on but the new board had a screw-based connector. I pushed the connector over the slide-in mount and it was a tight fit so all was well.
