FGHT2042TE0 Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

The part i recieved, from parts select was a larger in circumfrence (<1/4) than the original. However i was not aware of this until after i treid to repair it.

I removed the broken fan from the condenser. This was very sipmle.

When i pluged the refridgerator back in to the outlet the fan tried to start up but soon began to make aloud noise, due to there not being enough clerance.

Just lay the new glass shelf into the groves. The shelf was too big and would not fit properly down into the groves.

I used the youtube you provided. It was pretty straight forward, but I had to make a trip to the hardware store for a bit (hex wrench) to remove the hex bolt head style screws. I was only expecting to need phillips or flathead. I managed to remove one with a set of pliers, and the brought that example to the store for size reference when buying the bit to fit my black and decker drill. The rest was easy.

Only thing we needed to do was to slide in the glass shelf into the grooves inside the refrigerator!!

The center door hinge was still attached to the refridgerator so I only had to install the bottom and top hinges. I also moved the door handles to the other side so the doors open the "right" way. The hinges were just 2 bolts and 3 screws. Now, just if the repair man from our home warrentee company would show up to fix the refridgerator. It's blowing hot air!!!

Replaced the old drawer with new one took 5 mins to do simple and easy

The bulb wasn't the issue so I was hopeful the switch was. utube helped me some, but figuring my model was different than any on utube. Got the switch in and plugged it back in. Moment of truth. Didn't light. Ugggh! Out $50 for switch plus $20 for nut driver set.

The first order arrived in a huge box and there was no scew to be found, the box had wholes in it. I was given a refund and told to order again.



The repair did not happen and the set screw which was actually recieved the second time was returned because it was the wrong size.

Ordered new part

New Piece arrived and we just put it in. No problem. Very pleased with the service and the turnaround time was great. Thank you.

Very easy slid the new frame in loader the drawers.

Insert the bottom part of the trim first, then pull up to snap on the top. PartSelect.com is a fantastic website!!

first i order a defrost termostate i replace it but wasnt the problem then i
unpluged the evaporator fan motor and test it and was not working order
a new one and working like new.

I had no problems. Screws arrived sooner than expected. It was a very simple installation. Very pleased with both the product and service.
