FGHT2042TE0 Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

The old gasket was dirty and old and it had ripped, so the fridge would no longer close. The new gasket came in and all we had to do was push it into the groves and make sure it was secure, and it was fixed. Saved me hundreds of dollars buying a new fridge.

Remover the meat tray.
Removed the old tray cover. Transferred the glass insert to new cover rim and repositioned the new cover. Reinserted meat tray.

unscrewed to little bolts and installed the new/metal part we got rfom partselect.If we may say.this is a great company to buy from! Fast!

I ordered four bearing hinges and drill holes for the hinges on top and bottom of frezer and fridge doors insert the bearing hinges on the holes and all the other part on the door were able to reversed.

I took out the plate that covers the evaporator in the freezer with 3/8 nut driver. I removed the clips holding on the fan cover and used the pliers to take the fan off the old motor. I then took the old motor out, affixed the fan to the new motor and replaced the motor and fan assembly. I reassembled the entire fan assembly and reinstalled the evaporator plate

The repair itself total time was quick and easy. Since the original fan blade blew apart, it was only a matter of putting the new one on in it's place. This can be done by feeding the blade between the cowling and Condenser coil and applying pressure to get it on the shaft.

If your fan is still on the shaft, simply push it off and extract it the same way. Then place the new one on the shaft.

In my case, since the part would take a couple days to get, and I had food both in the fridge and the freezer, I removed and unplugged the Condenser Fan Motor and the cowling frame and temporarily spliced a small fan I had into the line for the condenser motor. This kept the fridge working long enough to get the replacement part.

Side note. Direction of airflow is towards the Compressor, and draws air across the Condenser coils.

purchased a new freezer gasket. It is still iceing in the freezer but now all over the top part and down the back. The new gasket does not secure tight enough around the entire freezer door when it is closed. It is secured properly to the door but does not "grab" tight enough when the freezer door is closed.

Order parts on sat.afternoon,and got part on Tues.aand installed in less them 2 min.

just pull the old off and put the new one on the magnetic strip inside the rubber was the key it just grabbed the area real easy.

The part arrived on time. I unwrapped it and matched the brackets with the places on the door that fit. I gave it a tap and it was in place. I applied light pressure to make sure it wasn't going to fall out, then filled the bin as before. I was very pleased that the part I ordered was actually the correct piece and fit perfectly.

The knob came in the plastic package. It was the correct part. I opened the package and placed the knob on the prongs. Now it works fine.

Slid it in place. Waiting patiently for lower shelf that holds vegetable bins. We have duct taped the broken one together and it is holding for now. We would like an update on expected delivery date.

Put old glass in new frame drop one side under small lip of frame..done..perfect!

You charged $7.79 plus $1.06 tax and $9.95 shipping. Please refund the entire amount including the shipping, since I did not ask you to ship the incorrect amount.
