ESS25XGSDBB General Electric Refrigerator - Instructions

We actually followed the instructions of the video for the installation of the dual inlet valve and it was incredibly easy to perform. The fridge works perfect again!

Very easy novice could do

Removed broken switch with plastic scraper (press tension latch on bottom), moved two wire terminals to the new switch and pressed the new switch into the hole.

Just fallow video shows that it 123 !

It was much easier than I had anticipated it was going 2B. All it intaled was 2 undue the 2 water lines w/a 1/2 inch wrench, take out the 2 screws on the top of the head on the inside of the refrigerator, then pull it out. I then just slipped the new head in, replaced the 2 screws, replaced the filter (definitely not overly tightening it this time) by putting some waterproof food grade grease, making it much easier 2 push up & turn. After, I went 2 the back of the refrigerator & reconnected the 1 line 2 the fridge & then the other 2 the water supply. "Walla" we were making ice again & able 2 get ice cold water again, also. The entire process took approximately 30 minutes 2 complete & that's bcuz of my limited disabilities. A younger person could probably be able 2 do it possibly faster.

remove the front plate. use screwdriver to pry the cover off from the bottom of the cover, remove the wiring from the front cover.remove the 4 screws and pull out the shute. remove three screws from the solonide and replace . very easy fix. save yourself $100.00 labor.

Shut water behind the refrigerator, unplugged the unit. Unscrewed the back tin panel and simply unscrewed the brace scew for the Double Outlet Water Valve. Disconnected the hoss - inspected the hosed for wear. Next detached the hoses and power source to the unit... reconnected both hoses & power source, plug the refrigator back in and inspected for any water leaks. Simple!

Nothing to tell it was just a replacement part that the old part was removed and the new one inserted. Works like a dream Thanks

took the back off and defrosted with a hairdryer. disconected the part pulled the part out cut the wires. put the other part on and instaled it. put it back together and it seems to be working just fine. thank you

Very easy repair, 3 screws to remove motor assembly and 3 screws/1 nut to remove motor from housing. Reverse order to replace. VERY EASY repair!

Removed back wall cover over coil. Defrost all ice with a hair dryer. Cut white wires and replaced Temperature Sensor. It has been working for a week and no trouble at this time. If you have this system on your GE refrigerator do this before replacing the motherboard. I must admit I was thinking that was the trouble. Motherboard was replaced after 5 years old now 5 years later my thinking is this a 5 year problem. So try the Temperature Sensor.

First, remove the cardboard cover on the back, lower portion of the refrigerator.

Next, locate the condensor fan motor assembly and blade. (Right side as you are facing)

Using a pliers, hold the shaft to keep it from turning and prevent damage to the motor. Using a screwdriver, slide the old ring compression on the blade shaft toward the motor (away from the fan blades) to loosen.

Remove old blade from the shaft by firmly grasping the motor shaft with a pliers (to prevent from damaging) and pull the blade assembly off.

Reverse the above steps to attach the new blade.

I got the model # off the fridge, ordered the part online. The part was fairly cheap and was at my house 2 days after I ordered it. It was the exact part and I installed it in about 15 minutes and everyting worked out fine and easy and cheap, under $15 total to fix the issue. All I needed to do was use a flathead screwdriver to "pop" out the old switch, remove the 2 wires off the wire connection points, put the wires on the new switch and push it back into place. easy.
