Back of ice enclosure broke out
The difficult part of the repair was the removal of the auger nut so that the motor shaft could be slipped through the enclosure. My son finally removed the front of the motor allowing him to get a better grip and thereby remove the auger nut. Once that was done the actual replacing of the enclosure was easy. The two portions of the motor and the accompaning soleniod fit well and were easily screwed in. The motor was then connected to the opening on the back wall and all was well.

The motor that turns the ice make auger broke loose from the plastic housing
This repair didn't go as easily as I had hoped because I made a couple of mistakes. I'll describe them so maybe someone can avoid it.
First, in order to remove the old part, you only need to remove the hex head screw on the lower left side (underneath) of the ice enclosure. The whole plastic piece will then slide up and can be pulled out. I removed all the screws in the very back of the plastic tray (near the broken plastic from around the motor) before removing the part and several parts fell out when I removed the tray. Luckily I was able to see how they go back together. Just wait to remove those screws until you pull the plastic unit out and you'll be okay. The other challenge was disconnecting the motor/solenoid from the back of the refridgerator. You can't see it so you have to go by feel. Pinch the top and bottom of the plastic connector and pull straight out. It should come out easily. You'll have to put it back in by feel too. Once the old part was out of the refridgerator, the new part was easy to assemble. Be careful that the wires don't disconnect from the solenoid or the motor or make sure you know how to reattach them. Other than those items, it was an easy repair.

Humming noise from inside freezer and no ice out the dispenser.
Troubleshoot noise and linked it with no ice from dispenser due to the fact the auger motor was completely broken from enclosure. Search Internet for part number, and supplier. Order part on line convienance, wife did not tell me she picked up box from front porch, spent two days tracking down a box that was right inside the front door. Then... Remove ice bin. Unplug harness from rear wall behind ice enclosure. Remove 1 sheet metal screw from under enclosure with 1/4 nut driver. Remove enclosure. Remove auger motor, 4 machine screws. Remove despencer solenoid, yoke assembly, and yoke guide, 2 machine screws, 2 sheet metal screws. Assembly is reverse of removal.

ice maker kept on dripping water causing ice in the icee containergood compression to freeze in a block
ordered a new shut-off valve. arrived in 5 days. installation had to wait a couple more day for i had to order a new compression nut. the reason i had to order a new nut was because the original nut was made of teflon and stripped easily when i tightened it to make a leak proof.joint. the new nut arrived in two days and was installed readily being that it was made of brass and consequently did not strip when i tightened to make a drip proof joint. finished in approximately twenty minutes' the video that this site has on the internet was of great value.

The limit switch burned and shorted out
I couldn't have repaired the refridgerator at all if your web site didn't have photos along side of the parts. My parts no. was destroyed. But after removing the face plate on the ice dispenser door and checking the area behind the plate, the burned part was clearly identifiable. I removed the one screw holding it and the two connecting wires - and pulled out the tiny switch. On your site, I entered the refridgerator number, and the parts list (300 or so parts for this model) appeared with identifying photos of each part. All it took was to order the part (and the ice door simply because it was old) and put it in when it arrived in one day! No only did I save much cash, but I left with the confidence that I knew what went wrong. It works as good as new now. Thanks!!!!!

Light hinge broke
Repair was tremendously easy. All I did was remove old light switch by prying out with screw driver and plugging in the new light switch and pushing it into the hole. Simple! The instructions weren't needed, but they were very thorough.

Water was going all over when someone tried to fill glass
Removed two star screws on plate, then two chute screws which allowed me to remove the chute. Then I removed the two screws which held the assembly in place, we had to pullout the assembly about three inches. (I had my wife hold that out of the way) Then I reached in behind the assembly and removed the chute door. At that point I saw that the tab which hold it in the opening mechanism was broken off. So I reassembled everything without the chute door and put a dishcloth in the chute to keep the cold in and the heat out. (during this time we had to manually take ice out of the hopper) I then went on line to partselect.com and ordered the part. It came in 3 days and my wife and I opened it all up again, snapped the chute door in place, removed the dishcloth, put the assembly and plate back together and it works like new.
