I followed the video provided online. The model shown was not exactly the same as mine, but very close. The step-wise progression demonstrated on the video helped a lot. I had to double check the video a couple of times which added to the work time....I could probably do it again without the video in under 1 hour. As shown in the video, I laid out an old towel across two pieces of 2x4 which helped keep the mixer head in a position that was easy to work on and also prevented scratches.

I did not do the repair myself, however, I contacted a suggested service company which in turn was a company I had used before when I had problems with my JenAir microwave. Excellent service, prompt and very professional. Thank you JenAir for your assistance in providing promptly the parts needed to complete this job.

Simply placed it in the slot and pounded until firmly in with a soft mallet. Thanks to your site I was able to find the piece easily and very inexpensively. Thank you so much. I would die if I couldn't fix this machine.

I removed the mixer from the stand and replaced the bowl lift arm by removing a cotter pin and reconnected the arm to the crank inserting the pin roll and tapping it into place with a small hammer. It took all of five minutes to complete.

the plastic covering the thumb screw cracked almost half way and lost the piece....so the new one is being used to replace this old one...very easy to install

The plastic worm gear was stripped,I took it apart first then cleaned out all the old grease so when the new part came it together like a charm.

Just change the motor brush. That's it! It work well now. Thank you, Partselect!

After I dropped a part of the shield into my mixer the motor screamed and I unplugged the mixer. I found out I had a broken worm gear. I then order the part and per the helpful video I did the repair and I also changed the brushes my mixer is up and running waiting for the holiday baking season thanks to Part select.com Very easy Instructions to follow I am very happy with the results. I was very happy with the customer services department and the support I received in identifying the part I needed for the repair. I received an email confirming my order with all details. I do wish you had a more cost effective shipping alternative, like Priority mail.
The repair went well and the mixer is back in business, for making those Chocolate Chip Cookie and brownies if you know what I mean.

Opened beater , removed grease , took bearing off , removed alignment pins ,pulled shaft and pinion out , replaced parts , lubricated with new grease , assembled the whole drive . do not like the plastic gear or the clearance once assembled has a lot of slop for this type of drive .

watched instruction video (from Part Select), the demonstration was close enough to enable me to repair the mixer. Newer mixers are disassembled differently.
