58715212900 Kenmore Dishwasher - Instructions

Removed old hose and went to install new hose from Part Select. Part received was not the same as advertised. It was 6-8 inches shorter than the original hose. Would not make the necessary turns because of shorter length. I even went to Video instruction on installation even though I have been in Machine repair for 30 years , this video showed using the shorter hose and when installed in the video hose also had a kink because of hose length. Had to stop repair and go to hardware store and purchase a longer hose. This purchased hose from the hardware was 50% cheaper and actually worked. I also paid for 2-3 day shipping and received part 7 days later. I am very disappointed with Parts Select and am an owner of an Equipment Rental Facility and will never utilize Parts Select again.

First, I was so pleased to find these parts at such reasonable prices! Sure beats replacing a dishwasher in terms of money and labor. I'd already studied the online instructions a couple times before ordering and checked to make sure my racks dis-assembled as shown. They did, I ordered, got the new racks within days and installed both in under ten minutes. Great service and awesome installation videos. I will definitely check this site if I need replacement parts for anything else in the future. THANKS so much!

Arm screwed on and immediately fixed the problem.

Easy fix but not cheap
replaced drain trap and four rack wheels with clips

All parts were expensive for the items.
found cheaper wheels w/clips for much less on another site.

Removed two screws,one on each side of the bottom part of the door. The door cover then comes off. Then 6 screws hold on the dispenser. Shut off power and remove two wire connections. Replace dispenser. Replace lower door cover and two screws. Done.

Just so simple take out the Phillips screws take off the cover three screws hold on the board. Un plug the connectors place the new board in and replace the screws. Simple plug and play.

I think the videos on the site are awesome. Made both repairs after watching them. They explain the repairs in a simple to follow way.

I removed the two screws and then moved the dishwasher out a little bit (about 6 inches). I pushed the dishwasher toward one side to make room for me to change the spring with my hand and repeated the same procedure for the other side. After the spring change, I turned an old dishwasher to a new one.

if the wire they snap on was bent it needs to be straightend.......they just snap on. easy to install but wish they had better wheels so this problem would be solved. My 2 sons have same brand dishwashers and have same problem.

While trouble shooting the issue, noticed that all switches worked and there was sufficient power going to control board but still nothing working. Ordered new control board and with only a Phillip's head screwdriver, I was able to remove cover and control board to replace. DW works like new after the repair.

Removed the two screws that mount to count top pulled the dishwasher out to see how the spring was attached , installed the new spring and the job was done the job it took about 15 mins. to complete.

Pulled the dishwasher out, rolled it onto its right side, removed the old pump by removing the 2 electeical connectors and 3 #20 torque screws, and replaced the pump. The most annoying thing was it dumping water on the floor. The rest was relatively easy.

Finally we laid in the tub--be sure to support the lid. The grommet could be inserted halfway. Then trying to fold the grommet back we were able to use a screwdriver to force the rest in to place.

I removed the door panel and ran the dishwasher to determine where it was leaking. Ordered the parts. When parts arrived I removed door in order to get at the bottom door gasket, replace it, and removed the tube gasket and replaced it with new parts. The whole job was very easy for a person that's never repaired a dishwasher before. I also found that the return tube gasket at the top of the dishwasher was leaking and repaired that by making a new gasket out of a flat piece of rubber and an o-ring. All leaks have been repaired. With regards to the return tube issue, it may have only been loose and if so, I could have just tightened the return tube outlet and gotten the same results. The people at this site were excellent. Took out the two retaining screws and pulled the unit forward. Took the old door strike out and put in the new one. This site is where I go for all my appliance repair parts!!!
