58714302201 Kenmore Dishwasher - Instructions

Followed the YouTube instructions. Loosened 4 screws took off the front door panel and removed the old door and installed the new one. The video was very helpful!

Your service was great, the basket came in two parts and all I had to do was put the two together and put it in the dishwasher. I am glad we were able to get a new one. Thanks again for such quick service. Thank you very much for such great service.

Viewing the instruction video provided online made my repair process extremely easy. Only thing that held me up was finding a tool to help me remove the torque screws from the latch. Thank goodness for inheriting my grandfather's tools and eventually finding the right bit. The latch came with a new gasket but I recommend not replacing it if it's not necessary. I did replace ours at first but it was too thick and caused our dishwasher to leak. So I placed our original gasket back after cleaning it up and it works just fine. This wife was able to complete this project with two kids under the age of 4 and a hyper border collie running around while the husband was at work.

I removed the door panel and ran the dishwasher to determine where it was leaking. Ordered the parts. When parts arrived I removed door in order to get at the bottom door gasket, replace it, and removed the tube gasket and replaced it with new parts. The whole job was very easy for a person that's never repaired a dishwasher before. I also found that the return tube gasket at the top of the dishwasher was leaking and repaired that by making a new gasket out of a flat piece of rubber and an o-ring. All leaks have been repaired. With regards to the return tube issue, it may have only been loose and if so, I could have just tightened the return tube outlet and gotten the same results. The people at this site were excellent. I used both epoxy on the male threads and then pulled out the case and twisted the flat car body flat kind of a nut. Let it sit for 36 hours and now like new.

Removed old hose and went to install new hose from Part Select. Part received was not the same as advertised. It was 6-8 inches shorter than the original hose. Would not make the necessary turns because of shorter length. I even went to Video instruction on installation even though I have been in Machine repair for 30 years , this video showed using the shorter hose and when installed in the video hose also had a kink because of hose length. Had to stop repair and go to hardware store and purchase a longer hose. This purchased hose from the hardware was 50% cheaper and actually worked. I also paid for 2-3 day shipping and received part 7 days later. I am very disappointed with Parts Select and am an owner of an Equipment Rental Facility and will never utilize Parts Select again.

First, I was so pleased to find these parts at such reasonable prices! Sure beats replacing a dishwasher in terms of money and labor. I'd already studied the online instructions a couple times before ordering and checked to make sure my racks dis-assembled as shown. They did, I ordered, got the new racks within days and installed both in under ten minutes. Great service and awesome installation videos. I will definitely check this site if I need replacement parts for anything else in the future. THANKS so much!

Turn off power. Took out screws holding control cover on, (left loose and hanging in the front of the door by the connector wires).Disconnected the two wires at the bottom of the switch. Removed two torx screws, pulled switch out. Reversed procedure to install new switch (which isan exact replacement). turned power back on, tested door latch, washer works perfectly again.

I took the door off by removing the two screws that hold the it in place. I removed the two screws that secures the diswasher to the cabinets. I slide out the unit approx 3 inches. I attached the new spring and linkage (very simple to see how it connects).

I pushed the unit back in, secured it to the cabinet and put the door back on.

That's it! Easy. I saved at least $150 service call with Sears.

Removed 6 phillips head screws that hold the front panel in place...let the panel hang in place...then remove 2 torex screws that hold the handle to the dishwasher ( # 25 torex screw driver needed ).......then pry the wire connections off the old handle..remembering where they go on the new latch.....and reverse the process for the new handle install..and for the gasket just follow the inst's on the sheet that comes with the kit..very easy...but when you close the dishwasher with the new gasket..it's going to be very hard to close..( well for me it was )for the 1st few times...

Unhooked the dishwasher and took it out. Laid the dishwasher on it's back. Located the drain pump and took it off. Put the new one in it's place. Hooked the dishwasher back up and tried it out. Everything sounded and ran good. Easy assembly. Took 30-40 minutes if that.

This repair project was easy enough that my 15 yr old son had it almost all done without me. The hardest part was getting the wires unplugged from the old latch. Once we got the pliers out to help us get a grip, everything went smoothly!
This was a quick and easy fix for an older dishwasher that still works!

if the wire they snap on was bent it needs to be straightend.......they just snap on. easy to install but wish they had better wheels so this problem would be solved. My 2 sons have same brand dishwashers and have same problem.

I think the videos on the site are awesome. Made both repairs after watching them. They explain the repairs in a simple to follow way.
