Unplugged the appliance for safety. Removed two 1/4" screws that held the assembly in place. Carefully removed the wire guard that retains the glass shield. Unscrewed old light bulb and replaced with new part. Reversed the steps after cleaning glass cover.

I had to call for a appointment for repair with GE Appliance because I thought then it . .was something electrical. The technician came out & checked everything out, turned out it was not electrical, The technician went out to his truck got a light bulb from his truck, put it in & it worked. It cost me $121.00 for trip charge from GE appliance for a light bulb that worked, your light bulbs were defective twice. Very disappointed with your products, cost me alot of money for a good light bulb thru GE appliance

I took out the vegetable bins and slid in the part. Replaced vegetable bins. Works perfect. I was told locally that GE doesn't make the part any more and that I wouldn't be able to find one. First place I looked on the net was you and found it with no trouble at all. really thrilled to get it. Thanks

replaced lights in refrigirator and freezer

I loosened the compression nut on the valve with my fingers and pulled the water line free from the valve. On the other end, I just pulled it from the hose clamp. Installation in reverse. Force the water line into the fitting on top, Slide the old nut over the line on the bottom. Screw the nut onto the valve. Reach inside the freezer and turn on the ice maker. Done. Before replacing the cardboard grill, you should vacuum the coils on the bottom, front and back. If practical, push it outside and blow it out with an air compressor or a leaf blower.

Replacing the new part wasn't hard, just very time consuming and frustrating. I had to remove two-thirds of the shelving of refrigerator as broken drawer slide was on the bottom and I had to have room to remove old and replace new. Of course, then I had to CLEAN all the drawers and shelving before replacing them and then, because they were fresh and clean, I had to remove the other third of shelving and wash and replace it. So, it was an hour-long or more time. I love your business, and had no idea I could get so many parts for old applicance and replace them myself, and I am a 70-year-old woman! This was the 2nd time to use your site and I will return to it again when needed. Thanks for prompt and reliable service and a site that makes it easy for a neophyte like me to find the broken part ! 0. As a safety precaution, unplug the range or hit the relevant fuse breaker before you start. You might also want to grab a flashlight. Definitely do not try to do this while the oven is hot.
1. Pinch the wire over the light bulb cap to remove it. This is inside the oven at the back.
2. Pop off the hemispherical glass cap.
3. Unscrew the old light bulb, and screw the new light bulb in its place.
4. Put the cap back.
5. Secure the cap by putting the wire back in its slots on the cap.

No tools needed, the cap is just held in place with pressure from the wire.

I replaced both the punp and water line. the website depicting the repair parts was the best i ever worked with. The parts were high quality delivered on time and easy to install. Total job cost $30 as opposed the cost of of a service man or a new refrig.

The bottom shelf of my Mom's fridge broke. I found the part I needed and went to repair it. Realized both sides were broken. Ordered other side as well. Two screws in front, two screws in back. Front side had a metal strip covering screws. Had to pull that off to get to screws. Snapped back on after repair.
Mother was very pleased.
Told her to be careful. Those little pieces of plastic can be expensive.

I had one of my guy friends do it for me. It took him less than 10 minutes, and probably would have been quicker if he had a better screw driver. Mine is a cheap girly one that he could not get a good grip on.

I ordered the part one day and it was in my refrigerator by the next day. No tools required. You guys are incredible. This is the second time I ordered parts from you. You never disappoint!!

Remove bottom glass shelf, lift up -then remove entire drawer slide assembly.Remove plastic decorative front cover(it just snaps off) and unscrew left side drawer slide screws.replace with new part and screw in screws. Replace in bottom of fridge and replace glass shelf.So Easy that an average house wife like myself was able to do it alone.Almost as easy as finding the part needed on partselect.com! Thanks, it was much easier than apple pie.

The entire frame that holds the two crisper drawers pulls right out. After that, it's just a matter of unscrewing the broken part, snapping in and screwing the new part and sliding the whole thing back in.

Removed the broken rail (2 screws), replaced the new rail (2 screws), reassembled all in about 8 minutes. It was AWESOME!!! I had spent hours trying to repair it and, fortunately, gave up and decided to look online for the part. Didn't even think that the part would still be available. Not only was it available but it arrived in 2 days! Anything that is broken in the future: I am going to your website first! Thank you!!!
