Remove the burned out bulb and install the new light bulb.

My husband took out the old icemaker in about 5 minutes. The new icemaker was a perfect fit even though the refrigerator was >10yrs old. The only difficult part was the plug extension that was needed so that it would fit into an older appliance. The part was included, it just made the cord about 3 inches longer than it needed to. After working with it for about 20 minutes we were able to fit it on the back side of the icemaker. Now it works great!!

Remove the one screw holding the unit in place, unplug it, slide in the replacement, plug and screw it in.

Had to defrost the freezer to melt off all the ice before servicing. Once that was done the icemaker replacement only took about 15-30 minutes to complete. The new icemaker came with many accessories and adaptors that were not needed and the instructions were based on replacing an older model and not really clear for my model. They mentioned not being able to use the new stripper but it was exactly the same as the old one so I left the new one in place. All in all it was easy and did the job.

First i removed two screws that holds the ice maker in, unplug the plug to the ice maker. I was able to remove the old one. Place the new one in screwed in the two screws and pluged in the plug and in just a little while i had ice again. I am a women, if i can do it any one can. I had a repair man tell me it was going to be $250.00 dollars to replace it. I got on line ordered the ice maker and had it in 4 days. Very fast shipping and easy to install. Super simple! Hardest part of the entire process was identifying which part I needed to order. Once I received the part (which shipped promptly and was at my front door within 2 days), all it took was 5 mins and a screwdriver and I was back to having a usable snack drawer!

Found a step by step video on YouTube made replacement very easy. Cubed ice is back. Time for a cocktail to celebrate!

Video is a great but still need to read the instuctions because there are parts you may need on the old ice maker. Saved myself a bit of money by not having to call a repairman. The process was very simple. I am glad I did it myself. Thank you Parts Select!

I had no idea how to get the parts easily so i search on web , saw parts select.com,i read main folio of the site.which seems to me very reasonable.just one call and they delivered the part.nicely advised me if i need technical support to fix it but i was too confident and i did it.

Pulled ice tub, removed auger rotation motor and solenoid housing, removed solenoid and replaced with new one and reinstalled. Checked solenoid was working by holding freezer door open and closing switch to door an activating ice switch-- solenoid picked up. Put ice tub with auger back into freezer.

removed the dispenser and disasembled it repaced plate and reasembled.
