Followed the video demo and would have been done sooner but for limited work space- narrow freezer compartment and the release tabs on the electrical plug. First home repair that the air was not blue and got done in under time allocated.

Icemaker plastic piece had broken causing ice to not make properly and loose water to freeze things into chunks
I spent 15 - 20 minutes just hunting/deciding which of several sets of parts & directions to follow. The provided directions were not bad; but none of them quite matched my GE ADORA side-by-side model. Once I came up with the actions I would need to take...I was done in 5 minutes! The kit , as I said, came with all the parts one could need (and one or two un-needed parts included for other model GE refrigerators) I am very happy with PART SELECT...altough GE doesn't rate as high with me for their declining reliability.

Worn, deteriorating door handle
1. pry off small square plastic cap on top and bottom of old handle with thin blade tip of paring knife. Careful not to damage small tabs on the backside corners. 2.Pry off long trim insert above the handle with the paring knife and loosen bottom most screw revealed. 3. unscrewed 2 screws revealed by step 1, one on upper handle end and one on the lower. 4. pull upper cap end from the door and lift the handle upward and away from the door. 5. slide the new handle and door end into the lower trim piece. 6. fasten all 3 screws. 7.snap in upper trim strip and square plastic caps back in place.

Icemaker stopped making ice
I just followed the directions carefully, loosened the screws with a nutdriver removed the unit from the screws, unplugged the unit from the freezer plug, took out the new unit, used the adapter supplied with the unit to match up with the plug in the freezer, carefully attached the icemaking unit to the screws, carefully slid the cord behind the unit, lightly clinched down the screws, checked it with a level and then did the final snug down. turned the unit on and it worked fine. Pretty easy, just take your time, don't rush and it will come out fine.

No Ice...
Super easy, had my 15 year old do it (with my supervision).
Followed very clear Instructions that come with the replacement...
But, he could not get to the plug location until he removed 4 screws holding the motor assembly that spins the ice in the drawer and moved it out of the way...
Followed the rest of the instructions...
Works like a charm.

Replacement Of Ice Maker
Removed old ice maker, then screwed in new ice maker. Only thing that was a little difficult was to hold the auger motor, while trying to unplug the clipped in plug on the old ice maker. I could have used an extra pair of hands.

Old Icemaker Stopped Making Ice
Instructions that came with the part were useless. I would have created new problems if I had attempted to follow the instructions. However, once I had the old part removed and put it beside the new part, required repair process was obvious, easy and quick. Frig now makes ice better than it ever did.
