363685 Kenmore Refrigerator - Instructions

I pulled off the old gasket and pressed in the new one. That's it!

I slipped the new part into the bottom door shelf and installed the shelf back into the retainer holes on the door. Instant fixed.

First the Kenmore refrigerator was listed as most parts as not available on the Sears web site.
The old gasket was split in several places and moisture and mildew was part of the clean up. Because of the cold weather at the time of shipment the note about using warm water to soften the gasket so it would be more pliable was extremely helpful.
I was also reversing the door swing and found that it was not that hard , it took about 45 minutes and was done the 24ft frig is now working great

Very easy. Removed all the parts from the fridge. Removed the glass. Unscrewed the two screws holding the rails to the front and rear support. The front support that has the "fruit" and veggie" settings, you have to remove the plastic name cover off to expose the front screws. The install is the reverse of the removal. The only "tricky" part is remembering the configuration (left from right) and removing the vinyl edging that the glass rests on from the old left and right rails and placing it on the new rails. Removed the ice maker from the freezer. Removed the switch. Tested the switch with a multimeter. Ordered a new switch. Replaced it in the box. Installed the ice maker ( 3screws and electric cord plug. It works. Details available on the internet.

I removed the maker from the freezer, three phillps head screws, I pulled off the white plastic cover and found the top (small) gear had poped out, after carefull inspection, I notice two missing teeth. I ordered a new gear from ParstSelect re-installed and with in two days my ice maker was working like new. I estimate I saved myself seveal hundred dollars, my wife wanted to call a service professional or worse buy a new refrigerator freezer. Thanks PartSelect!

First I turned off the water supply. Then I removed the ice bin and the ice maker by removing 4 screws and 3 electrical connections. This allowed access to the evaporator fan which was not moving. To remove the evap fan I removed two screws that hold the fan bracket. The fan assembly now had to be pushed back and rotated to remove from hole. There are 3 electrical connections that have to be disconnected from the fan, one ground wire that also is connected to the fan bracket and 2 power connections. Installing the new fan was the reverse of the above except the power connections were in a different location and i had to use the extension wires provided with the new fan to have the length needed to make the connection.

Unplugged frige, removed top shelf, pulled broken fan blade off. Replaced with fan blade just purchased from PartSelect. Very simple repair. Orderd and recieved the right part.

I used pliers to pull lightly on the head of the switch, while I inserted a small flat head screw driver into the base of switch and gently worked around the edges to free it from the panel.

I took out the vegetable bins and slid in the part. Replaced vegetable bins. Works perfect. I was told locally that GE doesn't make the part any more and that I wouldn't be able to find one. First place I looked on the net was you and found it with no trouble at all. really thrilled to get it. Thanks

Instructions say run capacitor is by motor, but on this frige its in the refrigerator compartment. The capacitors looks different, one square and the other long

Wow, end result was amazing. I had to place my ear close to the refrigerator to find out if the fan was working. So quiet. Prior to this we could hear it in the bedroom. I replaced the fan motor, blade, grommets, i.e. the whole fan train. There were two screws holding the fan which were removed. (After removing the back panel.) Then removed the old blade and dust cap. Detached the wiring harness at the junction. Then reassemble in the reverse order. I screwed up the 1st time...installed the front motor grommet in reverse. Fan blade was not centered. Resulted in a few mins rework. Actually spent more time cleaning all the dust from the compartment and behind the refer than it took to install the new fan system. Did I say that I couldn't be more pleased with the no noise result?

Ordered the icemaker replacement. unplugged the unit, followed the simple instructions and got it done in less than 30 minutes. It did take a LONG time to start making ice. But it's working now.

Was concerned that new icemaker was quite a bit different than the one we were replacing. Called GE to confirm it was correct.

Went ahead and installed the unit, using the supplied electric cable adapter.

A little difficult to deal with the extra cable, but everything worked OK and it's making ice normally.

I ordered the wrong part, the ice maker assembly, because your diagram was not marked properly. I returned the part and you credited my account. Thanks. Ordered the new bucket. It worked fine. Now I have ice and crushed Ice whenever I want. Thanks.
