2860EGS Jenn-Air Range - Instructions

This was a no-brainer: old filter out, new filter in. In addition to replacing an old, greasy filter, I found that the exhaust fan now draws cooking fumes much more efficiently. So why did I wait the 6 years since we moved into this house to do this???

I originally ordered the knobs that appeared to be an exact match for the ones on the stove top (Part # PS1515077). However those knobs are designed to fit on D post stems. I finally ordered PS48861 which are designed to fit double flat post stems which is what I have on my stove top. New parts fit perfectly. Remove old knobs put new ones on. Total repair time less than one minute. Part Select was great about getting the original parts and replacement to me quickly.

I pulled down the wire around the glass cover. . . Released on end of the wire from its holder being careful to not let the glass cover drop. Unscrewed the bulb and replaced with replacement. Easy, easy.

removed old and replaced with new without difficulty.

removed old motor from cooktop & motor housing & replaced w/ new motor & parts to install same. parts needed where screws & isolators (3).All went ok

Old filter allowed too much air flow causing exhaust fan to go off....installed new filter in exhaust chamber...release clip on old filter and install new filter (at an angle) in the exhaust box....clamp down clip on edge of filter and job is complete

PS made finding an old bowl/ring adapter easy.

Wrap first three fingers of right around old knob. Pull it off and throw in trash. Take new burner knob and slide it onto the stem. Repeat 3X, that is, once for each remaining burner knob. Time to complete job - 45 seconds. :-D

I removed the protective grid over the filter and fan, turned the clip that held the filter in place and removed it. I placed the new intact filter for my antiquated Jenn-aire in its place, replaced the protective grid, and am happily continuing to cook on my functional cook top.Thank you.

The grease filter was 20+ yrs old and the mesh was falling of the frame. I was very pleased to find this replacement filter (the first filter I received was damaged....placed a call to PartSelect and have a new one the next day). Can't beat service like that!! Thank you, June Patten

Installed the new filter and replaced the knobs in about a minute. Customer service helped me find the right parts for an over-35-year-old unit and the installation of them was elementary and took probably less than a minute. I am in business again, cooking for my family; and my visiting relatives can cook without guessing the temperature (previous knobs were illegible. Recommend this site without reservation. (Received the parts in about 2 days!). A real treasure of a save!
