Read privious fixes. Didn't know which control was bad but ordered two new ones. Marked locations of switch contacts and wire colors. Removed old controls. Installed new replacements and everything works fine. Thanks.

A burner on the cook top stopped working
I switched the circuit breaker off at the electrical panel, removed the burner switch assembly (two screws) from the cook top. The burner switches are held in place by a single nut over the control stem. I unscrewed the nut from the failed switch, disconnected the four electrical leads (one by one) from the old switch and connected them in the same position on the new switch and replaced the nut. The clips on the electrical leads were oxidized/tarnished so I cleaned them with emery cloth to assure good contact with the posts on the switch. Replaced the burner switch assembly in the cook top, energized the circuit and the burner works perfectly again.

Faulty infinite switch
Turn off the power!!! Remove two screws from back of switch section and pull toward you. That was the tricky part; it wasn't obvious to me how to remove the section. Then simply revmove the witres from the old switch one by one and put them on the new part. Close it up and you're good to go.

Replacement
This down draft filter was just what I was looking for. The big box stores (Home Depot and Lowe's) do not carry this size filter. Thanks,

Burner knobs were old and some settings had worn off.
Wrap first three fingers of right around old knob. Pull it off and throw in trash. Take new burner knob and slide it onto the stem. Repeat 3X, that is, once for each remaining burner knob. Time to complete job - 45 seconds. :-D

Filter was very old and falling apart.
The grease filter was 20+ yrs old and the mesh was falling of the frame. I was very pleased to find this replacement filter (the first filter I received was damaged....placed a call to PartSelect and have a new one the next day). Can't beat service like that!! Thank you, June Patten

grease filter was disintegrated and burner knobs were illegaible
Installed the new filter and replaced the knobs in about a minute. Customer service helped me find the right parts for an over-35-year-old unit and the installation of them was elementary and took probably less than a minute. I am in business again, cooking for my family; and my visiting relatives can cook without guessing the temperature (previous knobs were illegible. Recommend this site without reservation. (Received the parts in about 2 days!). A real treasure of a save!

Could not read numbers on the knobs
Simply pull off the old ones and replace with the new ones. Problem was finding the correct knobs with the double "s" shaft fitting. The item number indicated by the model number was incorrect. I saw a kit with four knobs on your web site and ordered the kit and not the recommended item. Turned out to be the right move and the knobs fir just fine.

The original filter was decomposing each time I washed it
I removed the protective grid over the filter and fan, turned the clip that held the filter in place and removed it. I placed the new intact filter for my antiquated Jenn-aire in its place, replaced the protective grid, and am happily continuing to cook on my functional cook top.Thank you.
