There was a glow in the oven but the oven wouldn't heat up
First I removed the two screws that held the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconected the two wires. Take the old element out, and attach the new one. Assemble in reverse order.

Had a problem igniting the gas.
took the old igniter out and swapped the connectors onto the new one. Kept the connectors close to the connector end to prevent them from being to close to the ovens heat.

Oven would not light; gas odor
This was a very easy project.
-First, I removed the two bolts holding the old igniter. Second, I clipped the wires then stripped them. Next, I connected the wires with the wire nuts. Finally, I attached the igniter with the old bolts. I plugged it back in, and it worked better than ever. My husband was very impressed that I repaired our stove myself!

The oven igniter would glow but the oven wouldn`t lite
After finding your page and using your trouble shooting guide, it was easy getting the right part and the video helped a lot. Removed the over rack- removed two screws to remove the bottom- two screws to remove the burner. Clipped the two wires to the old igniter and removed the burner from the oven, removed the two screws holding the igniter and installed new one. clipped the wires to length and renistalled the burner. Using the two wire nuts supplied put the wires togather and reinstalled the bottom. Everything went well lite first try with no poof sound. Just in time for Thanksgiving cooking.
