Removed lower burner covers and fan cover to access igniter. Unscrewed igniter and pulled out as far as possible. Marked both wires and snipped them. Twisted on wires from new igniter and mounted igniter. Pulled excess wire thru to back of oven and reassembled covers from first step. Last step was to explain to wife that she needs clean in there MUCH better.

I removed the oven bottom which was held by two large head long screws. I then removed the heat deflector using a small socket. The only difficult part was when I went to replace the igniter. The screws that were holding it in place stripped I guess do to the amount of heat they were continually subject too. I had to apply pressure to the igniter bracket while removing the screw using a small socket. Even with that they did not come out easily. If I had not had trouble removing the screws the repair probably would have taken 15 min.

I replaced both gas valve and igniter. I removed oven door and bottom of oven for easy access to both. The door slid off easy and the bottom was held by two thumb screws. I removed the gas flare for easy access to igniter & valve. I then removed the igniter & valve using nutdriver, phillips screwdriver and adj wrench. I then followed simple instructions supplied for wire connect on igniter and valve. It was a very easy job for a 25 yr old stove. I made the mistake of ordering only the valve and ordered the igniter later. Having both new parts causes the oven to light in about 30 seconds. Im glad I found partselect online. I simply searched YouTube for the problem I was having and foud it was probably caused by a bad part. I found the part online and ordered it. It was as simple as a few screws and a couple wire-nuts to install. My girlfrind was very happy to get the oven fixed !!!!

pulled bottom door out as far as you can. lift out broiler tray and the tray under that. to get the door completely out. on each side of the rail holding the door from come out push in the tap on each side and pull the door all the way out and off. reach inside and take out two nuts holding the old igniter and cut the two wires and remove it
stripe about 1/4 in of the wire. attache the wire from the new igniter. hold them two and use the white cap and twist it on the two wires and do the same to the other two wires. Bolt the igniter back on with the two bolts and your done. When you turn on the oven the igniter will click and turn on. it will be alot brighter then the old one and the oven will start pretty fast.

I exposed the ignitor through the inside of the oven and then removed the two screws that held it in place. I then cut the wires underneath the stove ans reconnected them to the new part with the wire nuts provided. It was a simple repair.

Unplugged the oven
Removed racks and bottom plate
Removed two 1/4" fasteners on ignitor
Installed new ignitor with two 1/4" fasteners
Cut each wire on old ignitor one at a time and hook up using included wire nuts
Plug in oven
Test oven
If it works, put it back together

First I removed the two screws that held the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconected the two wires. Take the old element out, and attach the new one. Assemble in reverse order.

removed the old igniter, installed the new one. 15 minutes, piece o cake!

took the old igniter out and swapped the connectors onto the new one. Kept the connectors close to the connector end to prevent them from being to close to the ovens heat.

Took the two nuts off that hold the igniter and cut the wires as per directions and used the wire nuts to put them together after I installed the igniter.was a piece of cake and didn't take 15 minutes to do.Oven works great.

Removed 2 screws to oven bottom
Remove one nut that holds gas rail deflector
Removed 2 screws that held Igniterto the fuel rail
Cut 2 wires to the Igniter
attached 2 wires from new Igniter using ceramic wire nuts (Suplied with new part)
Install same as removal

It was pretty much a plug in. My husband had it done in a few minutes. I want to thank you for your great service with receiving the part.
The oven is working great and now I am back to baking.

I just sent in a generic description of my problem and a couple of ideas on what it might be. Within 2 days an online repair person answered me back with the solution. I ordered the part and 2 days later I was back in business and baking cookies.
