Pried out the old switch with small screwdriver, popped in the new one and tah-dah!! ..the light came on. While I was at it, I cleaned out the freezer :). I cannot begin to imagine what a repairman would have charged for this.

I was unable to remove the old part so I threaded the new part in front of it. They both fit within the actuator. Done!

Unplugged appliance. Using a small putty knife I moved the switch out far enough to grab it with pliers. Moved wiring to new switch and pushed into place after testing.

After plugging in the new relay to no avail. I replaced the thermostat. That fixed the problem.

very simple ! Just follow the instruction video on parts select . It don't get any more simple than that ! Learned a lot just watching that video . I picked up from that how to install an ice maker also . I cant believe I paid a repairman $100 last year to install an ice maker on my refrigerator either . I could have done it myself for 1/3 the cost and still had a brand new ice maker . I asked him about fixing the ice bin then he said they was no way . Said the best thing for me to do was try to find a used one would probably cost me about $100 . I think the total cost for the parts was about $30 here . And BTW takes about 2 min to change out an ice maker . I will never call another repair man to come into my house again unless they do away with the internet .

unsnap old part and gently push new shelf bracket in till it snaps into place.

On the left side I unscrewed the screw and replace it with a new one . The right side in had to take s file and file of the rivet. You can use a rivet gun or a metal screw to replaced the clip. Once it is finish open the refrigerator door to see how to line the kick plate into the clip. A piece of cake.

I got the part....I put it in. That's about it.

Well I have to say as a HVAC contractor for 32 years this was a very easy repair for me or anyone who is not a HVAC contractor such as myself. I always like to do a little research on any repairs that I have not performed myself and the instructions and video that was available on this web site was awesome. I did this repair in less them 15 minutes removing parts and reassembly of new part. I did let ice bin sit out for about 10 minutes after I removed ice to de thaw and reach room temperature to keep from cracking frozen plastic parts.The new ice auger drum was a very nice perfect fit and was made of a much better quality plastic then the OEM that was replaced. My mother was very pleased as I did this repair for her at her home and she watched me do the repair and she is 74 years old and she commented that she could have done this repair herself after watching me and she also watched video from this web site after I mentioned it to her. I would highly recommend that if anyone needs parts for there freezer or refrigerator to buy from this web site. The price was much lower then anyplace else I could find and it was shipped to my front door in less then 2 days. I unplugged the unit Frist. Then I removed the grill covering the compressor and fan from the back. I then located the rear wheel and pin. I bent down the retaining tab and removed the pin and wheel. I installed new wheel and pin and bent retaining tab back to origional location. Replaced grill and checked unit for proper operation.

I did remove the run capacitor of the starthing kit of compressor and another one new. It work fine.

Found auger was broken. Also found the ice cubes seemed too big and not breaking apart after the ice maker would cycle and dump in to the bucket. So I adjusted the ice cubes water feed timer making the cubes smaller and they are working real good through the auger now.Thanks for delivering the part so fast.........

After years of using a flash light to check the contents of my refrigerator, I decided to try to fix the problem myself. Replacing the light switch was very easy. The directions were straight forward and I'm sorry I waited so long to tackle the problem.

Was easy, removed several screws and a clip on the auger shaft. removed broken part and replace with new then reassembled
