REPLACEMENT ICE FUNNEL
My fridge has a model number of PIR23MGTABV. The Parts Select website shows the ice funnel as PS 12304413 and "no longer available". After discussions with both Parts Select personnel and GE folks it was concluded that there just was no replacement option. After looking at pictures on the internet for part number WR17X11267 I took a chance and ordered it from Parts Select (i.e. the one in this review). It is an exact match so I would suggest that Parts Select show this as the replacement part for this fridge. As an aside, the recommendation on the internet/YOUTUBE, etc of "thawing" the water line going to your fridge with a hair dryer should be avoided because you will undoubtedly melt your ice funnel and need to replace it lol!

Replace broken ice funnel dispenser cradle
Removed outer trim by pulling it carefully out of its clips. Then disengaged the electronic display card by grabing the bottom of the card to disengage the card from the upper clips. I leaned the card forward and disconnected the wire connectors. Removed the 4 screws to take off the frame that contains the funnel. Remove the broken funnel from clips. Note study how the spring is engaged. Note position of the rubber funnel how there is a gap for the water tube. Removed the rubber funnel and attached to new funnel dispenser. Start at one end of the rubber flap and work around engaging the rubber into tabs. Replace the Funnel dispenser back into frame. Make sure the longer wire of the spring sits flat on the plastic frame and that the right elbow of the spring raps around the edge of the funnel. Secured the frame assembly back into the Refig using 4 screws and attached out trim starting withe bottom tabs engaged first.

Trying to defrost the water line in the refrigerator door I melted (deformed) the plastic parts.
I carefully removed the trim from around the dispenser area then freed the catches in the top of the electronic card. I leaned the card forward and disconnected the electrical connections, then removed the card. I removed the four screws holding the shield to the door and removed the shield. Then I removed the funnel from the shield and removed the spring from the old funnel and placed it on the new one. I removed the light and socket from the old shield and installed the in the new one, then installed the new funnel on the new shield, used the four screws to install the assembly on the door and replaced the trim piece.

Ice funnel cracked
Followed video for replacing the ice chute flap solenoid replacement because getting to the ice funnel took same steps of disassemble. Looked at how the existing funnel was set in the housing, where and how one spring was located, where the switch and its activating arm on the ice funnel were located, took old one out and put new one in. Cleaned everything in process.

The indoor water occasionaly stops working due to the waterline in the door freezing.
I applied heat to the area with a hair drier. Used a little too much heat and deformed the ice funnel which also controls the water spigot. Ordered a new ice funnel from PartSelect. Part arrived in about a week and included a schematic of the mechanism which made disassembly and reassembly very easy. In a short time everything was working like new.

Does the spring come with ice funnel?
Hello Robert,
Thanks for your question. The spring is sold separately from the ice funnel and is dependent on the model number for an exact part.
I hope this helps.

The water/ ice will not stop running unless I lock the dispenser or gently move the control lever around until it stops. Have already replaced solenoid and going to replace the springs on ice chute.
For model number PS123SGRBSV
Hello William, Thank you for the question. You may have a defective Dual Inlet Water Valve, PartSelect Number PS304374. The valve can become stuck open and allow water to continued to flow through. You can also test the Micro Switch, Part Number: PS8259956 for continuity with a Multi Meter. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

Will not dispense water what could be the problem
For model number GSH25JSDDSS
Hi Fred,
Thank you for your question. I would first suggest checking the water inlet valve with a multi meter to be sure that part is working correctly. If that part is fine you may need to also check your dispenser door solenoid and your micro switch. Good luck with your repair.

The flap on ice maker is not opening and closing properly. Therefore, when i dispense ice it all gets blocked in the funnel behind the flap. So i have to open the freezer door and push the ice manually down the opening causing the flap to open. If i dont the ice stays there blocking ice behind it from dispensing.
For model number GSL25IFRFBS
Hello Frank, Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: the recess door spring, dispenser door recess crank, and dispenser door solenoid assembly-which is what actually opens and closes the flap. Hope this helps!

Water constantly drips from tube at dispenser. What controls the water flow. Is it the funnel that you push in to dispense water?
For model number GSL25KGRBBS
Hi Thomas,
Thank you for your question. Actually that would be your water inlet valve that controls the water flow. There are two solenoids on your water inlet valve. One for the water and one for the ice maker. I would suggest checking the one for your water. It could be that it is malfunctioning. I hope that helps! Good luck with your repair.

My ice maker will not stop running. It doesn't make ice all the time but it does run all the time.
For model number TFX24ZRS
Hello Roger, thank you for your question. If the icemaker is running all the timer, and won't shut off, I would recommend replacing the icemaker itself. The icemaker has its on motor module that runs like a timer to fill, freeze, dump, repeat. If this motor module is not shutting off the whole icemaker should be replaced. This is part number PS1993870. I hope this helps!

The rubber ring around the outside of the dispenser came off. Now ice splays our wide. Does this part fix that and fit my model?
For model number ZISS480DRKSS
Hi Emily, thank you for your question. Your funnel does not have a rubber gasket on it. The rubber portion is actually part of the ice door which I have listed below for you. Good luck with your repair.
