Refrigerator door gaskets
I bought 2 gaskets for my Kitchen Aid refrigerator. Doesn’t feel like it’s sealing the fridge. Condenser is still freezing up and food on top shelves is warm. When the doors are closed and I put pressure against them cold air gushes out. Doesn’t feel like the right side is sealing. Both gaskets had wrinkles in the middle of gaskets where they are folded for shipping and I got one side out

The rigth door does close tight
I ordered a gasket and follow the instructions, such as warm the gasket, to get it in the door using my fingers, but the door did not close titght enough. The problem could be something else. The initial problem is in there

Door gasket had deteriorated and needed replacement
Remove torn old gasket. Starting with bottom slid the gasket retainer under the door retainer lip on bottom. Repeated for top. Slid the retainer under the open side door retainer lip. Then pushed the gasket as much as possible to hing side. The slid the gasket retainer under the door retainer lip.

My ice in the tray is melting. I noticed that the gasket on the top of both doors has the identical tear. Could this be the cause of my problem? Does the gasket come with an adhesive?

Hello George, thank you for your questions. The gaskets have the same part number PartSelect Number PS5573757. There is no adhesive necessary. We have an installation video for a slightly different part from yours to access so basic installation. We hope this helps.
