I have an older Kenmore upright freezer model number 253.22411102. It has frozen up at the bottom of the freezer and I would like to ask if the evaporator and heater aluminum strap 5308000110 would to help resolve this issue and is their a website that I could utilize to show me the steps of installing such a part.

Hello Terri, thank you for reaching out. The function of this part is to hold wires, tubes, defrost heaters and other parts in place. If would not effect the appliance freezing up. If you mean the appliance is not defrosting, we suggest testing defrost heater and thermostat. If they test good, you may have a faulty defrost timer. We hope this information is useful!
