The qc fan at the bottom of the GE monogram frig section makes a high pitch sound when it kicks in. Is there a quick fix (clean it?) or must it be replaced? And why?

Thank you for your question. You cannot clean the motor but you can clean your fan blades. If it is the motor itself causing the noise then you would have to replace the motor. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Fan in fridge section makes at times a loud noise. Sometimes it is quiet. Maybe bearing is going out of commission and allows fan blades touch the housing at times... ? i am not sure if this fan is this part number wr17x13035 (item 922) because the only diagram i see this is in the "custom cool," but this is like around the middle of the fridge, height wise and width wise, at the back wall, but i do not see any diagram showing fan there... how many fans are there in the fridge section?
