This rotor assembly is a manufacturer-approved replacement part for your washing machine. The rotor is an important part to rotate the tub during the wash cycle. It can need replacing if the magnets or splines become damaged. Unplug the washer before beginning this repair. To complete this repair, you will need a Phillips screwdriver, a 17mm socket wrench, and thread-locking fluid.

Washer makes a grinding noise when you start washer and the clothes get wet and will not agitate. It works fine with nothing in the machine it fills and drains and spins empty but when clothes get wet it makes this grinding noise and won't agitate
For model number WM2301HR
Hello Ricky, Thank you for your inquiry. I would advise checking the rotor, and stator assembly. The rotor interacts with the stator to create a strong electromagnetic field, which rotates the tub in either direction. If either part is damaged, the drum will not agitate and could create a grinding noise. Hope this helps!

The rotor assembly is in good condition but the gears on the plastic middle piece are worn. Are you able to buy the plastic inner piece separate from the rest of the rotor assembly?
For model number WM2487HWMA
Hello Adam, Thank you for the question. Very sorry but the gears and the the plastic inner piece is only sold as part of the Rotor Assembly. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

My washer is working fine, however at the end of the cycle when it is about to finish spinning the machine makes a very loud noise that it didn't use to make. Any ideas as to what could it be?
For model number WM2487HWM
Hi Catalina,
Thank you for your question. If the washer is noisy at the end of the cycle, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the ball bearings, the rear tub gasket, the gasket, the drain pump, the spider, the circulation pump motor, the bolt assembly, the water inlet valve and the shock absorber. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I keep getting an le error code. My child put a really heavy load of clothes in the washer. Resetting it did not work. I’m sure the motor is locked because of the heavy load. When i start a cycle the machine makes a groaning noise before the le code comes up. Water will fill and it will drain but that’s it. What part do u recommend i purchase?
For model number WT5070CW
Good Day Paul. Thank you for your question in regards to your unit (Model Number WT5070CW). What’s wrong with the machine when it stops spinning make a noise won’t spin
For model number WM2688HNM
Hello Wilma, Thank you for the question. The most common issue when the drum will not spin but is still draining would be the Rotor Assembly. We hope this helps!
I keep getting an LE error code. i checked and the load is not an overized load. i followed the procedure for resetting the code, let the washer sit for an hour. i am able to start a new cycle, but about 2 minutes in it will stop and give the Code again. What part do u recommend i purchase?
thanks!
For model number WM2101HW
Hello Jessica, Thank you for your inquiry. The LE error code can indicate the drive system has locked up. We would recommend checking the stator and rotor assembly as they are what drives the tub for this model. Good luck with your repair.
The rotor assembly looks fine. Could it be the stator going bad?

The drum was making noise while spinning now does not spin at all its an LG steam washer it does turn freely
Hi George,
Thank you for your inquiry. If the washer was emitting a noise from the drum and it is not spinning now there are a few parts you may have to check. You may have to check the agitator, the agitator directional cogs, the agitator coupler and cap and bolt, the direct drive motor coupling, the drive belt, the transmission, the drive motor and the transmission. I hope this helps with the repair. Thank you and have a great day!

I have to replace the rotor assembly because the plastic / nylon teeth are stripped out. Do I or should I replace the stator also ??
For model number WM2501HVA
Hi Brian, thank you for reaching out. If the stator is not damaged and is functioning properly, you do not need to replace it when replacing the rotor assembly. The rotor and stator are separate components, and damage to one does not necessarily mean the other is affected. However, it is a good idea to inspect the stator for any signs of wear or damage while you have the assembly apart. If the stator assembly, part number PS3522950, shows any signs of damage or excessive wear, it might be prudent to replace it as well to ensure optimal performance and avoid future issues. We hope this information helps!
