Are you struggling with a cloudy oven door? Get your oven back to its best with the GE Door Middle Glass. Crafted with high heat-resistance, this crucial element rests in the heart of your wall oven door. Its purpose? To protect your view into the oven, even when it's cooking up a storm. No need to open the door to check on your food, maintaining a consistent temperature and ensuring perfect results every time. Keep your oven in top condition with a replacement designed to withstand the oven's high temperatures. Remember, safety first - let your oven cool down before starting any repairs. We recommend wearing work gloves for protection. Also, oven doors can be quite heavy, so you might need an extra set of hands to safely remove it from the oven frame. Perfect part + easy repair = happy customer (again!)
This part is designed to replace your inside panel(s) of glass, closest to the oven itself. Ours cracked after many years of use and over time, cracked even more. The part was shipped quickly and came well packaged and ready for installation. The installation itself is very easy and took 30 minutes. It would have taken less time if we hadn't stopped and taken the opportunity to clean some of the other parts we removed to get at this glass. In this repair, you will remove two layers of glass to get to this part so you may as well clean the other layers while they're accessible. You'll need a torx bit and a nut driver -- that's it. Pro tip: when removing the first set of fasteners that hold the outer oven door to the rest of the door assembly, remove the three bottom screws first. They hold the bottom of the door via small and somewhat bendable metal tabs which won't support the weight of the door if you remove the four side screws first. Good luck and don't worry -- this one's easy.

Inside glass on the wall Oven shattered.
Cleaned up the broken glass. Ordered the replacement part. Removed the door from the oven. Carried it to a safe place to work on. Disassembled by removing the screws, removed the bad part. Installed the new glass pack and in reverse order of taking apart reassembaled the door. Reinstalled the door on the oven. Now the oven is working again like new.
