This partially open-style bake element comes with ¼-inch push-on terminals and is located on the bottom of the oven. This bake element provides heat for baking. If your oven is too hot, not heating evenly, the element is not heating, or has little to no heat when baking, you may need to replace your bake element. You can use a multi meter to test the bake element for electrical continuity to see if you need to replace it. This is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect the power to the range before starting your repair.

I had to do some modifications but the part works perfectly
The part was in good condition and came fast. It was not quite right for my oven as the centers which connect to the back of the oven were 2 and 3/4" centers and my old ones were 1 and 3/4". The backplate was of a smaller size. The larger centers went thru the old opening and connected to the wires, however I had to make a new backplate (larger) to cover the old opening as well as drill new 2 and 3/4" holes for the heating rods and new holes for attaching it with self tapping metal screws. All in all though everything worked perfectly. Fortunately I am fairly handy. ( My stove was an older model Kenmore and you were unable to locate the model # I gave you. ) I would use your company again. Thanks

Bake element cracked on its own
Flipped the breaker. Removed shelf, Find the right size nut socket, unscrew the two screws, pull the element out a little bit, disconnect the wires (on pretty tight), pull out element, clean out any mess in the oven, compare element with new one to make sure its the same size and such, connect wires to new element, replace screws, flip breaker back, turn on for a few minutes to make sure it works. Piece of cake.

First I searched this site and read about the repairs - which made me feel like my husband could do it with ease. Bake element burned out
I turned off the power to the oven at the breaker. Then I removed the two screws from the old element, pulled the old element out about 3 inches and disconnected the wires from the element and installed the new one.

lower bake element broken
Removed 2 screws that hold element and pulled old element out about 2 inches to disconnect the wires from the old element. Connected the new element and remounted to rear oven wall. Very simple and saved a visit from the appliance repairman.

Bake element burnt in half
TURNED OFF CIRCUIT BREAKER. Removed nut, washer and screw, pulled out electric burner about three inches, disconnected electric terminals and removed damaged element. Inserted new element into oven, connected electric terminals, pushed electric prongs back in, screwed element to back wall of oven....DONE Easy as 123

Daughter dropped dish on element......broke it!
First I removed the two screws that hold the element in place. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires the repeated the process to complete the installation. Relly easy.

Bake element bad
Inside oven, remove two screws that hold element to back wall, pull element out three or so inches to get to wire clip connections, unclip wires, remove bad element, put new element in in reverse order of taking out bad element, just that simple. Also this site was so easy to use, plus the shipping time was unbelieveably short, even a company service man couldn't have been that quick, or as reasonable. Thanks a bunch!!

Oven would not preheat - took over 1 hr to get to 350 degrees
Turned the range/oven off at the breaker box. Pulled all the racks out. Unscrewed two screws holding lower heating element in. Pulled the heating element out to expose connections. Unhooked connections, plugged in new element. Replaced the screws. Turned breaker back one. Pretty simple!

Broken oven element.
DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS REPAIR UNTIL THE RANGE IS UNPLUGGED AND THE CIRCUIT BREAKER IS OFF!!!!!!
Very easy repair, but, either there is a minor amount of current flowing through the element at all times, or the off switch wasn't working when I started. didn't turn the breaker off, after I removed the nuts, as I was pulling the element to reveal the terminals, the terminals arc'd on the oven wall. BIG SPARKS!
After I turned the breaker off and started again. No problems.

Bake element had some odd "episode" when a bit of roasted pumpkin water splashed on it. It went foom and a white light glowed intensely for a few seconds until i switched the oven off. It then threatened on and off to catch fire, eventually my boyfriend turned the breaker off and the red glow went away. Flipping the switch back on and turning the oven on caused it to glow red again so we're assuming we need to replace. Given the age we're assuming it was more of an eventuality because i've made much bigger messes in ovens and not had that happen!We're farmers so calling someone out to "take a look" is not in the budget, seems an easy enough fix with the right tool, can you confirm the suspicion that it needs to be changed out please? and if so, confirm my google result part number of wb44k5012?
