Ice Maker stripper arm cracked
This was a pretty easy repair...I removed the retaining screws and slid the assembly off its tracks. Disconneting the wiring hardness was a pain but after a few minutes I had that off (use gloves, it gets cold in the freezer after a minute)
Once I had the unit completely out of the freezer the replacement part took only minutes to replace.
Reversed the process putting the ice maker back in - a few hours later my ice buck was full again.
Simple repair - well worth the effort.

One screw stuck
Had to widen screw access hole in motor frame enough to use the phillips bit with my 12V impact driver. That worked perfectly. It took an extra two hours of trying to break the screw free without stripping it and figure out what to do when it wouldn't budge. Once I got the screw out the fix went quick and the ice maker now works great. If you have a coroded screw go straight to the impact driver.
The icemaker ice stripper arm broke off one side a year ago and the repair guy said we couldn't just replace that part. The other side broke recently and I thought I wold check on the interenet to see if I could find just that part and not pay for a service call and new ice maker.
Sorry I didn't do the repair but my husband did. It took him about an hour and a half. He did have to take the main part of the ice maker out of the fridge and take a couple of pieces off t oslide the tabs from the stripper arm into place. It was great. Fixed the icemaker for $22.00 dollars with no service fee. I can't imagine what they would have charged me.

Ice cube kept getting jammed in rghtmost stripper arm finger.
Used the online video and followed it step by step. Very good instructions on how to perform the repair.

stripper arm broke
I had to disassemble the unit. After it was out I unpluged the wires and removed the broken ends of the stripper. Most of my time was spent figuring out how everything worked. I installed the new arm and slipped the unit back in place. It works perfectly. I could do it in under 30 minutes now. The cost savings is well worth the effort.
Stripper arm interferred with teeth, finally broke off.
No trouble following directions sent but when putting it back together the sensor in the back became dislodged. .

Stripper arm kept coming disloged from ice

Replaced arm stripper (ps2378115) on ice maker filled but has not ejected an ice, been about an hour anmd ten minutes.
For model number 52703100
Hello Ken, thank you for writing. It may be that a different part is faulty. You will want to consider either the Auger Motor or the Dispenser Control Board. We will need the model number for your refrigerator to determine the compatible replacements for it. We look forward to hearing back from you!

My stripper arm keeps being dislodged. A piece of ice fails to eject properly and jams the stripper arm. I've reinstalled it three times now. The most recent didn't last a month. Do I need to replace only the stripper arm, or do I need to replace other parts as well?

Hello Tom, Thank you for the question. We suggest removing the Ice Maker to check for any damage to where the Arm is held in place. If the Ice Maker is good, the arm can be replaced. We hope this helps!
Installation instructions don't match what i see. Also instructions say fill cup must be replaced at the same time as ice stripper.

I'm trying to narrow down why the Ice Maker (IM) is all of a sudden freezing up. It appears that the drain hole on the "fill cup" may be freezing up, which leads to water spraying everywhere and freezing. The cup then becomes filled and frozen solid. Is it as simple as the stripper arms needing replacement because the Right side may not be ejecting properly and freezing up the Fill Cup drain hole? I have removed the IM unit several times now, but have not noticed that the stripper arms are the culprit.

If you have noticed that there is still ice in the mold after the cubes are flipped out, it could be that the ejector arm (PS11743312) or stripper arm (PS2378115) are faulty, or that the ice cube heater (PS11749915) that releases the cubes from the mold is not working, and when more water gets added, it overflows the mold and backs up the fill cup (PS11743318).
