Easy install of the gaskets
The first gasket wasn't deep enough for the stand off bumper of the lower corner. This didnt allow for a good air tight seal.

Refrigerator Door Gasket
Part fits properly. Video to show how to do the task was not indicative of the actual work required. It was much simpler. Part was quite more expensive than anticipated.

Faster than expected delivery. Easy fix
Easy removal of old, damaged seal. Replacement was quick after leaving the new one to warm up and unkink on the counter. For me, it was even easier than expected as my son did it for me while I was outside gardening! ??????

mullion was rusted and the gasket torn after only 3 years
Instruction link would not work but removing the 4 screws and unplugging the part was fairly easy. The hinges on the new part are very stiff and made it difficult to close the door. then the ice maker stopped working and the ice melted all over the floor. I had to fish the old rusty part out of the garbage and reinstall it. the ice maker once again functioned properly. The replacement gasket is completely different from the original. the original holds its shape when removed, the replacement does not hold its shape at all. It is floppy, will mot lay smoothly and does not seal the door.

Brittle, dirty gasket. Condensation in refrig.
Observed exactly how original gasket "sat" in the grooves of the door. Carefully removed it. Then methodically installed the new one with simple, consistent pressure so it would fit into the grooves. Result: nice tight sesl.

Need to remove mullion on French door models
Called repair man as I was not certain how to remove mullion part and disconnect wire. He just removed screws top and bottom then disconnected wire. Then slid off mullion. Replacing gaskets was easy with mullion removed. Rep said NOT to use vasaline as it degrades gasket but rather use a candle if desired. Rep did not use anything just pressed gaskets into empty slot.

Do i have to buy 2 (one for each door) or is it a kit with 2 seals? Same part listed on diagram for both doors.
For model number PFSS5RKZASS
Hi Patrick,
Thank you for your inquiry. The door gaskets are sold separately, so you would have to buy two. Good luck with your repair.

I have tried several times to order replacement door gaskets i have received 2) different part numbers wr14x10305 , wr14x10238. Neither of these gaskets seal my doors , when installed there is approximately 1/4” gap between the door gaskets and the refrigerator model pgss5kzcss. Serial. 308281 can you offer any help in locating the proper part the parts list refers to item 35 wr14x10305
For model number PGSS5RKZCSS
Hello David, thank you for your question. The correct gasket for the two side by side doors on your appliance is part number WR14X10305. These are the only gaskets that will fit properly on the unit. The gaskets should be placed in a tub of hot water. Using your hands, the gasket should be worked in the hot water to removed any bends or kinks in the gasket. Sometimes during the shipping process the gaskets are bent to fit in a box and end up with bends in them. It is also possible that the previous gaskets you received were defective. I would contact customer service to discuss the issue and reorder the gaskets with PartSelect! I hope this helps!

Two questions: How do you replace the door gasket on my model of french door refrigerator? (2) when ordering the gaskets, do you have to order separate gaskets for the rh and lh doors? If so what are the part numbers i need to order?

Hi Manfred,
Thank you for your question. There is a video on our website that you can reference on how to install the fresh food gasket. The refrigerator in the video may not show exactly like the one you have, but it will give you a general idea on how to install the part. You will find the video under part number PS11740397. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The gasket on my door is rectangular with Sharp 90 degree “mitred” corners. The picture shows a gasket that is more stirrup shaped. Can this possibly be correct?
For model number PFCS1RKZH SS
Hello Laurie, thank you for your question. The gasket used on both doors is PartSelect Number PS2371034. This is the replacement gasket GE recommends for your unit. The part may be slightly different due to some changes over time, but will function the same as the original. Good luck with your repair!
