mullion was rusted and the gasket torn after only 3 years
Instruction link would not work but removing the 4 screws and unplugging the part was fairly easy. The hinges on the new part are very stiff and made it difficult to close the door. then the ice maker stopped working and the ice melted all over the floor. I had to fish the old rusty part out of the garbage and reinstall it. the ice maker once again functioned properly. The replacement gasket is completely different from the original. the original holds its shape when removed, the replacement does not hold its shape at all. It is floppy, will mot lay smoothly and does not seal the door.

Is it at all possible to just get the plastic bracket that connects this arm to the door at the top? That small piece is all that needs replacing and it seems ridiculous to spend $117 just to get a small piece of plastic.

Hi Matt, Thank you for the question. Very sorry but GE only manufactures and sell the Mullion as one piece, the individual parts are not sold separately. Good luck with the repair!

Is there a y place where i can buy just the bracket that connects articulation mullion assembly to the door?
