The lid was closed to hard causing the door strike, lid lock bezel and assembly to break.
Changing the door strike was simple just a quarter turn and it pops off. Changing the assembly, remove the screws from the back side at the top, move to facing the front of the machine pull the top toward you about a half inch and it will open. From the back unplug the correct wire, remove assembly and then install in reverse. Good luck.

Do you have this lock lid assembly part #w11032875
For model number WTW5100HW2

If you are not sure what a stock status means, you can click on it and a separate window will appear with the explanation for what that status means. In the case of this part, it shows as in stock but is not listed as compatible to the model number you provided. The compatible lid lock assembly is part# PS12731130 but it shows as on order from the manufacturer. We hope this helps.

Washer turns on for a few secs then goes into done. Lid does not secure and can be opened at any time. Checked diagnostics for error and all 4 lights flash on group 1 and group 2. Could the lid switch be the issue?
