Easy fix
Our dishwasher panel was cracked right on the start button. Sometimes the power wouldn't turn on. I would have to take the panel off, unplug the computer board and plug it back in. That worked for so long until it just wouldn't turn on. So I bought a new control assembly, installed it in 5 minutes and everything works like new again.

Dishwasher was Erratic in operation for more than a year, then control panel refused to turn on
Cut power to dishwasher from breaker panel, remove six control panel screws, and main connector, remove defective control panel and install new one in reverse order.
Apply power to Dishwasher, run test cycle.
Dishwasher nows performs like new again, wife now very happy! ????
