Does this light switch for the freezer, have anything to do with the ice maker not working? I have read on some models the ice maker will not start if the switch is faulty. So far, I have replaced the water inlet valve, the filter, the ice maker without success. The water dispenser works fine as does all other functions on this refrigerator.

If your ice maker is still not making ice after replacing the ice maker, the water inlet valve and the water filter, check the water lines to make sure that they are fitted correctly and for signs of clogs, cracks and leaks. Light in freezer doesn’t come on when door opened. Is freezer LED same as refrigerator side (wpw10515057)? Is problem more likely due to freezer door switch? Thanks.

Freezer has three lights, one in icemaker and 2 in freezer. Both freezer lights dimmed for a day, then flashed a couple of times, then they are both out. Are those two lights in series and only one could be burnt out? Or is it the freezer door switch that controls those two lights?
