Ice dispenser chute spring broke and wouldn't shut off on its own.
Basically the only tool you need is a screwdriver to remove two screws on the trim piece and then the screws on the dispenser unit. This is where the patience comes in. Don't force anything or you'll be buying a new unit again. The tolerances are very close and the tubing for the water needs to be removed from the brackets carefully. Pay attention where the wire connectors go since you'll need to plug in the new ones. From there, just put things back in reverse order and close it up. I'm fairly good with tools and figuring out how to repair things, but I gotta tell you, this is really easy. Don't be afraid.

The fridge icemaker would pit out crushed ice. No whole cubes
I had to remove everything inside including the surrounding box and disconnect all the wire connector s. The solenoid that was bad was behind the cover that the auger motor cover. . Job was easy after I determined I had to remove everything that was not attached to the back wall.

Periodically water comes out of the dispenser in the door without anyone activating the dispenser. We come home or wake up and there is about a cup worth of water on the floor. Does not seem to be any pattern to when this happens. Is this issue related to the dispenser control, 242270106, or the water inlet valve, 242253002?
For model number FGHD2368TF6
Hello Dennis, thank you for getting in touch. The issue of water periodically coming out of the dispenser without activation could be related to either the dispenser control or the water inlet valve
1. Water Inlet Valve: If the water inlet valve is not closing properly, it could allow water to leak through the dispenser. This could be due to a faulty valve or debris preventing it from sealing correctly.
2. Dispenser Control: If the dispenser control is malfunctioning, it might be sending incorrect signals to dispense water, even when not activated. This could be due to a faulty control board or a short circuit in the wiring.
To diagnose the issue, you might want to check both components. Start by inspecting the water inlet valve for any signs of leakage or damage. If the valve appears to be functioning correctly, the issue might lie with the dispenser control board, part number PS12365165. You may need to replace it to fix the problem. Glad to be of help!

Our dispenser's issue appears to be that the actuator lever will not stay forward so of course it just falls back and dispenses unless we put something behind it to keep it forward while not using it. I'm guessing a missing or busted spring. Just making sure that the Dispenser Control Module 242270106 is correct for our Frigidaire Gallery model LGHD2369TF3. Thank you!
For model number LGHD2369TF3
Hi Cliff, thank you for reaching out. Yes, the dispenser control module, you have mentioned will fit into your model. We hope that helps!
