When the icemaker shut off arm is high enough the ice maker will shut off and no more ice will be made until the level of the ice in the bin drops. Also the ice maker can be turned off by lifting the arm all the way to the top until in a locked position.

The ice maker arm somehow came loose and fell off so the icemaker went crazy filling the freezer with ice until the water didn't have anywhere to go but all over the freezer and out onto the floor.
I stuck the end of the old arm into the icemaker device and turned it off, then cleaned up the mess and ordered a new arm. When the part came I snapped it in and it works fine.

My Original Armwire Had Fallen Off In The Ice Bin And Got Bent. That Is Why I Ordered The New Armwire Assy.
I removed ice bin and cover that sits ontop of the icemaker. I inserted the longer end of armwire assy first in the front part of the icemaker arm until it clicked in place then inserted the shorter end in the back side of icemaker arm and pressed until it went into the hole all the way through. This was very easy to install.
